"PG&E (And now they start forest fires instead of putting them out)"As soon as I knew what the commerical was about, I wondered if there would be a comment about this. Thank you for not disappointing me.
The beer ad was probably the inspiration for Henry K. Duff's Private Reserve on the Simpsons all we were missing was a Pace Salsa style "NEW YORK CITY????" reaction at the end of it!
Great complication as always. Thank you! Funny the contrast between how PG&E might have been viewed then compared to how most people feel about them now.
That Coors Light Ad almost felt it was parodying itself. But nonetheless, it’s always heartwarming to see Beer brands acknowledge the dangers of Drunk Driving.
Shogun-Richard Chamberlain is..THE FIRST SAMURAI! PG&E-where's Smokey The Bear when you need him Coors Light-that was a smart ad Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve Beer-"NEW YORK CITY??? Get a rope!" Jordache Basics-there probably was a minor car accident or two when she crossed the street
Arrowhead Water- The scenery and music in this commercial can make for a good, relaxing, and therapeutic experience for people. Kix- The kid sitting on the right side of that table sure is sporting some Caveman eyebrows.
To the east of the Bay Area is Highway 108, which starts in the San Joaquin Valley near Modesto / Oakdale and goes through the foothills of the Sierras, passing through Jamestown, Sonora, Twain Harte, Mi Wuk Village, Sugar Pine, Pinecrest, Strawberry, and eventually connects to Highway 395 on the other side of the mountains. In the higher elevations, there are more properties for vacationers than year-round residents; many visitors being from the Bay Area. This station couldn't be picked up across the valley until you reached Twain Harte (elevation 4000'), 150 miles east of San Francisco. When I was a kid, part of my morning routine was watching KTVU channel 2, with Sal Castaneda doing the traffic report of the four Bay Area bridges, before biking off to school.
I know what that Coors Light commercial is saying, but it almost sounds like they're saying a different kind of beer is right for those other situations...

Ha-ha! the Automatic sliding front seat belts are iconic of the late 80's/early 90's - my parents' Toyota Camry had those!

He's still there doing his thing. A little older, but still the same Sal.
7:47 Is that Kari Wuhrer from every softcore movie back in the early 90's through today and beastmaster II: Through the Portal of Time
Not to mention Remote Control, yes.
And Sliders!

They really hired those people that try and get you all excited so that you feel drawn into it. It’s weird.
