  • Watchcase Refinishes and restorations require the right tooling. This 2 axis polishing vise is a tool to work with watchcases on a lapping machine. The fine tuning function of the rotating axis of this rare vise allows correction of 0,1 degrees. In this first part I disassembling the vise.

    Oh man this thing looks so heavy duty compared to the modern ones, Im excited to see how this one turns out. what is the name of the brand that manufactured this?

      Indeed, they are heavier and the mechanism of the fine tuning is way better. Those vises are builded almost for ever! There is no brand, only on few parts stamped „Swiss Made“. It is for sure a vise of the industry there, wich brand used it, this will be a unsolved secret for ever.
