The only scars in Heaven are on the hands that hold you now, Those hands belong to Jesus, the scars are from the nails that crucified him.. He paid the price for us!
My mom just passed, she was 93 and told me everyday for 5 years she was ready to go. I chose this song to play at the service, and at 67 years old, I'm sitting here crying like a baby. Thank you for reviewing this song. I'd like to say, even if you don't believe in God, luckily he believes in you. Keep looking.
The fact you are open to hearing this message with the beliefs you mentioned, gives me hope for the work God may be doing in you sir. Casting Crowns has really helped me in my story and I think something similar is playing out in your life too. Just know that the lord is with you and that I'm praying that he leads you well. God Bless you and your days.
You know no one would blame you for not giving Christian music a chance because of your beliefs, but the fact that you’re willing to see what the artist has to say, even if you don’t live by the same truth that they do, tells me a lot about your character, sir :-)
I lived this scenario and assure you that healing does come in time.. Christian music, as well as other genres, has some music that is beautiful to hear. Messages of hope and healing surpass individual faiths or beliefs.
The beauty of the song is that no matter what pains we go through here on Earth, they will be gone. The only scars in Heaven are on the hands of Jesus who is consoling the ones that make it to Heaven. We put the scars on Jesus yet he still Loves us. Amazing LOVE!!
I feel blessed to have found this post. I also appreciate the fact that you are willing to both listen and empathize with the Christian point of the view!! You were very poignant while expressing your appreciation of the song. Seemingly the only message that you missed was the verse stating, “the only scars in heaven, are on the hands that hold you now.” The song speaks about being in the hands of God when arriving in Heaven. Christ had scars on his hands from being nailed to the cross. Thank you Sir and stay blessed.

Most of all, we need to prepare our life here, for the new life to come. The perfect life with the Lord. Amen🙏
