This is probably my personal favourite TSW route. The remaster just made it so much better and the timetable is fantastic. I sometimes spawn in to Glasgow Central at peak time, stand at the end of the longest platform and watch all the trains go in and out. I just love the variety and how busy it can get. As for this railtour, I'm not too sure if it's actually based on a real one, as Glasgow Central only opens at 4am Monday - Saturday and 7am on Sundays. Still cool to have on the game though!
Nice find, Joe - I'll definitely be having a go at this when I get the 33 (and Cathcart) in the next sale. I'm very much regretting not getting both over Christmas. I was always a bit meh about the 33, but got treated to a cab ride a little while ago and fell for the loco head over heels.
Don't yet have this route or this loco. They are both in my wish list waiting for that thing we XBox users don't seem to see very often. A Train Sim World sale.
I can't figure out what the reality of this rail tour is. I thought that the double head might be for doing a highlands tour but however I plan the movements on the track plan for the train going to Queen Street, it would still end up with the Class 47 on the lead unless some more nonsensical complications were added to the movements around Eastfield. It's still a fun drive though and I've only done it in the dark so far. You might like the Class 40 and Class 45 rail tours on the Cathcart Circle as they bypass Glasgow Central and take you onto parts of the route that are not normally driven. You might need the HUD to start with due to some un-signposted speed limits and there is a very skilful bit of driving needed at the beginning! Have fun!
100 feet, mate 😉 3 feet per yard. Imperial units are ludicrously confusing unless you're old enough to have had them drilled into you in school. I didn't, so I still find them baffling most of the time...

🤩🤩
14:58 when driving a train you can treat 1 yard as 1 meter - they're not the same as 1 yard is really 0.91 meters (91cm).
Good tip!
Or you could go old school and say 1 metre is 39 inches.
@SpeccyMan you're rounding down 😁
you know how weird train people are, of course they would be up at 3am to go on a railtour
lol
😂 Indeed. The only way I'm getting on a 4am railtour is if I stay up all night...
Totally!
Your boards set for Cathcart my friend. 😊
Oh yes!

Fair enough
It's during sunrise or sunset is when TSW really looks good
Yes!
The sun isn’t up that time of the morning there, earliest is 4:30am in June.

Ooo I will give that a go!
When does the class 158 fife timetable come out
Yea
There should be more info in next week's roadmap
Haven't got the 33, would you recommend it? I've got basically all the british routes in TSW.
On a big sale yes, otherwise not really as it doesn't get much usage on other routes :)
@@TheBritishAce Thanks, might consider buying it on the next xbox sale in the next couple decades haha.
@@TakumiXDsame lol 😂
For yardage
I believe 100 yards is 30ish metres
Might be incorrect though
No might about it. 100 yards is 91.44 metres.
