Thanks for watching our interview with Sara! Feel free to check out our interviews with other "Young Royals" cast, creators & crew at ruclips.net/p/PLLqRDms0_2N8EvZlx9R-dDq97kRhNKGZu!
I so love listening to Sara speak about her work and particularly this wonderful series. Thank goodness there will be a season 3. I think she is way too modest about her impact on the success of Young Royals. I really feel that her energy and her humanity is deeply imbedded in the joy of this beautiful work.
What a great conversation. The information and opinions that Sara Arrhusius offers are always meaningful and profound. Among my favorites of this interview, the description of the psychological dynamics of relationship and intimacy between the characters August and Sara was really interesting for me (who knows what will happen to them by now, I'm afraid it's all thrown away by now). Also, the description of the dance kiss scene, where it was decided to have Simon and Wille approach without touching hands, reducing the proximity more and more until the touch of their lips, and only from there letting the hands come into play: wow, how wonderful, how tense! there is strategic genius in these choreographic choices, I am increasingly hooked by these stories 😍
Hello, I'm from Thailand. First of all I have to say that Sara has given me a lot of inspiration regarding the position they take on because to be honest the entertainment industry in my country doesn't have this position. (Surprisingly!) Thanks to all the media for introducing me to this position. And thanks to Sara for coming to talk about their project. I can't wait for your next project. Love, from Thailand. 💜
Yaaaay another great interview with Sara! Thank you so much! Its fascinating! Im so curious about what could happen if some of these trust and empathy and embodiement practices made their way into schools, and all people, but especially this example with the boys and how comfortable they are, could have a chance to learn themselves more, and bring that to life. (can you tell Im a sexuality educator ☺️ I have so much hope) Im so moved again by the sensative handling of the taboo, in this season.. Like stella and frederika having some kind of love, sharing a bed and a bedroom but an undeclared affection for each other, its probably a nightmare that most lgbt people are familiar with in some way, and where shame is still so loaded and expressed with fearful withholding in a totally different way than straight people experience a significant crush.. Then to the beautiful acting with willes longing stares, and simons emotionally loaded but hooded glances, they both speak so much without words, as well as the power struggle as they navigate the boundary, and I love seeing/feeling that acted, and then yes, the whisper 💖💗.. The small tactile moments of friendliness, humour, and affection that are so familiar but so often skipped in broader romantic stories with an agenda of sex being the pivotal focus rather than intimacy.. Its absolutely these sensativities that carry the whole production I think, because without them, the drama and the extreme scenario of the setting would lose its relatability, but like this, its heightened, and made so humble and accessable, and, I just love it so so much. Im so thankful for Sara, and their beautiful work.. Like they said, this is something that takes time and awareness and multiple levels of skills to actually act in an embodied way that carries this level of convincingness.. And I think we are so so lucky to experience this turning point in productions at this point in time, with actors as engaged as this. Im so glad we know by now that season 3 is coming up, but yeah, I absolutely would have enjoyed 10 seasons and could sit through their cups of tea, and walks, and hugs endlessly, if it had this calibre of intimacy and presence. Like they've said though, life is long, and I can wait, and enjoy all the other productions and acting and consequences that this beautiful work and this cast will have in the world, and Im so happy about that!
Also though, I was so fascinated to hear about the development of marcus' character and role... I was so so so bothered by him! Im curious how it was to coordiante awkward not-working chemistry and incongruent "consent".. Apart from the first house visit where he set his own boundary with simon kindly, I found him so grabby and insensative and dissmissive and intruding, it still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about all those scenes where he oversteps what I think of as consent, and for me this was a very interesting thread running through a show about and for teenagers.. I would love to see how this is developed in season 3.. with Wille and Simon in a simple way, in a more whole hearted relationship a yes is so much clearer, but it still takes navigation, and I hope wille and simon with all their communication issues have a chance to explore their yes for each other emotionally as well as physically. Im so intrigued, and so glad season 3 is signed on.. I hope its Sara who works with them on it 💕🙏
And maybe I should say this too, Im sooooo delighted just to see another non binary human in the world, doing creative practice, and being a professional.. It fills me with queer happiness and warmth 💖 visability is important ✨🥳
wow. I have to process all that. And prob watch it again, and once, and a third and ... ahhhahha THANK you to both of you for such a great 'session' ;) 💛
LOOKING forward TO it. so cool Also, Sara did light a little spark in my inner world that I didnt know existed and now cant let go. Since tomorrow is my b-day, I take this as a sign to follow that route and feed the tiny flame. We will see whats going to come up by it. 😅 Just so I want to say THANK u Sara and Chloe/The permanent rain press for doing what and how you do it. 🤗💜

Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
it is so cool to hear about how Marcus' character was made to be! It's really interesting to see how it was intended vs how it was received.
Sara inspires me so much to strive to be more authentic with myself and with others, and i appreciate that so much! What a wonderful person
They are the best!
Muuuuuch love your way. The world needs your authentic spirit!

Such a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL interview, THANK YOU!
Are you any closer in getting Edvin on ? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nothing planned right now, unfortunately!
Would Sara share with us if there’s a scene she wish Wilmon could do in S3?👀
I'm as eager as you to know anything about season three :)
Hi! Just letting you know that Sara uses they/them pronouns! :)
Heeey anyone knows who the IC for S3 is? Unfortunately I think it's not Sara :(
Malin B. Erikson is the IC in S3
A Sara parece meio chapada... Tem resposta que ela dá, que ela fala, fala e não diz nada... 🤷🏽♀️ Mas é uma fofa 🥰
