Sectioning of a cone by a section plane which makes 30 degree angle with the base of the cone. Learn to draw front view, sectional top view and true shape of the section.
Identify which dimension of this true shape is the true length. Project that to the front view and top view. This will give you an idea of the cutting plane line.
Thanks for asking. The cutting plane bisects the axis into two halves. In the front view, you have the true length of the axis of the cone. You can bisect and then make the cutting plane pass through this point in the front view. The cutting plane is a line in the front view. 👍
Thanks for asking. I am not sure if I have understood your question. Point 3 can be identified on the generator of O3 in the top view. I guess your question might be for points 4 and 10 whose generators lie on the axis of the cone. If I am right then please watch from time 11:17. The intersection point in the FV is first projected to the right most generator O3 (the point m') and then brought to the O3 generator on the top view (point m). Then you use a compass to bring this intersection length back to the generator O4 and O10. Kindly let me know if my understanding of your question was wrong.
Thank you for the great video. Great technique!
You are most welcome!
I have been given that the true shape is isosceles triangle. How will the cutting plane be?

Circle have devide 8 equal part any problem
12 is preferred for more precise sectioning and projections.
how do you determine the height of the cut?

Question. = How to section in solid boll ?
You will always get a circle as the sectional view. 👍
Thank you very much…
I will pass my wassce
👍
How do you plot the the middle point (3) in the top view?
