I've encountered an interesting theory, long time ago... around the beginning of season two, I guess, that the Temple is in reality Roses/Pink Diamonds Flag Ship. it was supported by the Handship of Peridot - since her ship looks like a body part, who there is to say that it's not just a piece of Yellow DIamonds Flag Ship shaped like her.
I don't really believe it, but it was interesting at the time. :)
