So why is it necessary to point out that the company is black owned?
Does the color of a business owner’s skin really matter?
Is the product good or not?
I don’t go out of my way to discover the ethnicity or skin tone of the owners of companies that I do business with or buy products from.
It’s just so odd to me.
Why does that disturb you? - Think about it. - Next to almost all businesses in North America, the most of them are white owned. You, like I, can probably name the majority of these chain stores, restaurants, airlines, oil companies, etc., without blinking. - Your comment calls you out as being a non-ethnic individual. That being said, other than naming the waffle maker in this video, how many black-owned companies can you readily name on one-hand? - I thought so. - Give it a rest. There’s nothing wrong with recognizing a black-owned company. - You had to use the race card that the ‘majority’ of America hates to hear from the ‘other side’, but love to use themselves. In your case it’s called passive racism. It’s when you make a comment; like you did and have no idea at just how offensive your ‘innocent’ remark is. - By the way, my ethnicity is black and white. My parents married in the 50’s. I’m in my 60’s now. They taught their children very well about our dual culture upbringing until we moved away from their house as young adults, until the days they respectively passed away. - I welcome your comments. Feel free to do so. - Just remember, try and not get it twisted … again.
