Wow Elena what a wonderful job you have done in all the books. I bought two of them but would have no clue how to colour them. I still have so many of your colorings to try and follow. Got myself too many hobbies at 69 and work full time. I know you like to Color complicated pictures.
I appreciate Teresa's books because I don't need to struggle with color choices - grass is green, sky is blue, so it's always easy to start your page without stressing too much about color palette. And of course her Winter wonderland book gifted me so many happy hours helping me to feel Christmas spirit before holidays. I would also want to have more free times for all my hobbies... recently I have returned to cross-stitching and it's hard to select to which hobby dedicate my free time

I agree that Dover is amazing in providing us with freebee pictures. I have never paid attention to the animals books my M.Sarmat but after I downloaded her Christmas cats freebees I consider purchasing the book. And I'm happy that for moderate price books are printed on very decent paper. But it's a pity that Dover didn't print second edition of Collage book by Noble, it's such a beauty

I love her books, too. At present, I only have two, but plan to get more. Like you, I prefer landscapes and buildings to coloring faces or people. The works you did are beautiful!
I love Teresa's landscapes, I like that you don't need to invent something to fill in huge empty backgrounds I have in the books of other authors, and it's interesting to try and to color boats, trains, canals, bridges. I hope that her new book will have more interesting new landscapes

Hello Alena! As usual summer means less time to watch videos, but I’m glad I caught this one. It’s lovely. Your pictures are so beautiful. You really did capture the ‘Kinkade’ look in the frozen pond with skaters.
I agree with you, some of her earlier work has weird perspective and lines that don’t connect up as well as some pictures being childish, but the books are getting better now.
I hope you are keeping well and enjoying this strange summer as best you can.
I could never create the masterpieces you create in them but I love Teresa's books so much. They always make me test and practice different effects. I cannot wait to see your work in the new books by Teresa. I thought that one was such a shame to include such country specific images that make non Americans pause and think "What does this even have to do with X season?" in some of the books though. Funnily enough I'm pretty sure that Teresa herself is British and not American.
My favourite is Home Sweet Home. It just feels so cosy but don't they all. I don't have prismacolor I use polychromos in her books along with watercolour pencils.
When I got Autumn book I was totally confused why she included baseball pictures until one lovely lady hadn't explained me about time of the start of the new baseball season. And yes, Teresa is from England , I wish she would create book about old English villages with their Tudorian or Victorian style, and their famous gardens. I also planned to purchase Home Sweet Home but after lockdown my Bookdepository order was cancelled, so next time I'll order it from Amazon with other books.
@@ColoringwithAlena I had to google about the baseball and football pages. We don't even really have these sports here. I knew that they existed but not that Americans associate them with a certain season.
Ooh an "English Gardens" book with gardens and lovely English village homes. How beautiful that would be! Maybe Teresa will get that idea. I will get both of the new books, I think. I have not yet preordered them as I am waiting for flip throughs but they sound like things I would really enjoy. Are you planning on getting them?
@@mchobbit2951 Just like you I'm waiting for the flip through, but I think that in the end I will order them ))) I especially want to see flip through for the Christmas book, because I totally love Winter Wonderland but the second Christmas book by Teresa, which is called 'Country Christmas', I don't like so much, it's too childish for me

Thank you for your kind words about my colored pictures. When I started to color, I knew nothing and my works looked primitive and childish. But with time and practise I managed to improve and to develop some coloring skills, so I'm sure that your works soon also will be great. Just enjoy your coloring process! Goodridge books are great both for beginners and more advanced colorists

Stunning work! Could you share how you photograph your finished pages? They are so colorful and clear, whereas mine look washed out when I take the picture and post on social media.
Well, I don't have any special tricks - I always take pictures on white surface and during daytime, and I also have good Nikon camera.
