I am a guitarist who absolutely loves the piano and play every day!!! When you show your mastery of the instrument on these demos it's inspiring& makes me want to keep putting those 10k hrs in!!! Thank you!!!🙏🙏🙏
I bought the 745, it's pretty nice as far as digital piano goes. The way Yamaha process the sounds for the headphone output is really nice! Probably the most comfortable sounds to be played through headphones on a digital piano. The proprietary Grandtouch-S hammer action keys are its main strength, even though it's only weighted in groups rather than individually, it was very comfortable to play, if you needed something even more authentic, perhaps go with the CLP-775 and it's got even better hammer action mechanism.
I bought the 745 but i hate the sound of bosendorfer on the speaker. It's too muffled im pretty sure it wouldnt with a true bosendorfer. And the CFX sound like electric piano especially with headphone xd And the CFX voice is exactly the same with Mellow piano. Maybe i should have go on the Kawai CA 59.
Tried both the 745 and the 775, assumed I would prefer the action on the 775 but came away surprisingly enjoying the slightly lighter action on the 745 more
i have a 745 but i cant get that sound...is this straight from the keyboard...any enhancement ? equalization...compression...etc going on? did you adjust some of the parametere ?
Hello, airvhue studios! Yes, you can load additional songs into the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-745, and you can also play songs from a USB or other media source. To load additional songs into the Clavinova, you can use a USB flash drive to transfer MIDI or audio files to the instrument. The Clavinova supports Standard MIDI Files and audio files in WAV or MP3 format. Thanks for the interest! Cody Kraus, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1766, cody_kraus@sweetwater.com
Hi, quick question, I have a acoustice piano with heavy keys and considering buying an DP, I will spent 80% of my time on DP, if I get CLP 745, does the light keys could be a problem for me?
Hey, Amirshayan! Great question and thanks for reaching out. Everybody is different when it comes to adjusting to a different keybed. Going from an acoustic piano to a digital piano like the CLP745 is a much easier adjustment than a keyboard with synth action, since the GroundTouch S bed has wood keys and resistance that simulates an acoustic piano. For most people it’s a very comfortable transition! I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any other questions. @@sweetwater Thank you for taking your time and answering my question. I asked this because my Acoustice piano has a very heavy keys compair to other acoustics and it's really annoying as makes me tired soon. With that said, I still want an DP piano with heavily enough keys and close to an acoustic piano. Roland HP704 and Kawai CA49 are also on my radar, these pianos are 30% more expensive than Yamaha in my country, dose it really worth to spend more and get one of these? If yes, which one should I go for? could you please compare the action of these three pianos? Thanks.
Hi Chloe, I appreciate your question! In my opinion, no instrument is too ‘swank’ for a beginner. Especially with a digital piano. A nicer piano like the CLP-745 will sound much better, and feel much more like the real thing. It is also built to be used forever, not to be replaced. Having the more realistic feel and sound will engage the player more in the music they are making and, I believe, be more fun to play. The more fun it is, the more likely a beginner is to stick with it! Also, you will likely end up with a very nice piano in the end anyways, so why not start with one and enjoy it the entire time? Does this save the settings? So if you set the brightness and fullness, turn off the piano, then turn piano on, will it keep the settings last used or do I need to custonize and set again it each time before playing?
Hello! You can save your preset sounds and MIDI sequences in the CLP-745 to an external USB thumb drive, if you'd like. You can also backup patches and memory of the keyboard, as shown on page 104 of the manual linked below: usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/5/1342335/clp785_en_om_wc0.pdf If you'd like to go into more detail, please call my number below. You guys should get into the more high end digital pianos (I.e. Roland LX or HP, Yamaha AvantGrand, Kawai Novus). Haven’t seen anyone of those on Sweetwater.
Hi, Mark! Thanks for your interest. Yes, the CLP-745 can be used as a MIDI controller. @@PrizmSeeR The CLP-745 allows tuning from 414.8Hz to 466.8Hz. Almost all new digital pianos over USD $500 can be tuned up to about a semitone up or down. E.g. Mozart's music is all written to be played at about 421Hz.
Missed the connectivity with ipad and the app functionalities provided with it. Seems that in the 700s class he is the first to have bluetooth connectivity to ipad, also... i think he has the wood keys.
If you are going to demo the CFX and Bosendorfer, at least play something that people have heard of, Mozart K.545, Beethoven Pathetique, River Flows in You, Always With Me... not like a tune a person is hearing for the very first time
Maybe there are nuances in Jazz that expressed the sound quality in his playing, but I just find this type of music minimizes my interest in the sound of the piano itself, not just this keyboard. I played piano for years then got busy for a long time until recently; now I've been looking for an upgrade, either 745 or 765. This video makes me lose a bit of my interest in buying. Not a Jazz hater when it's played elsewhere in the background, but when deciding on a big investment like this keyboard, focusing on the Jazz playing really pushes me away.
Thanks for checking out the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-745 with us! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more!

That bosendorfer demo was some tight jazz right there
Fantastic. Thank you ✌️
Ayo was 1:34 some improv or can i find music for that somewhere?
im looking for a digital piano now and stopped on this one, but im not quite sure whats the difference between some close models..
This is the first one in the lineup to offer wooden keys. It also has better amps than the 735 or 725
Thank you for the review, i just purchased the white one and cannot wait for it to come.

No harpsichord? I'm surprised.
Actually, there is a hapsichord sound. I saw this in another demonstration video
