Another Awesome video Jeff! Thank you for all your videos. I remember one hunt where I was sitting on the ground in a small bunch of cedar trees. A doe came by, and I shot at her, but my arrow stuck in a limb that I failed notice that was right between us. She ran off, but I took another arrow out of my quiver, and a minute later she came right back looking around. I shot again, and she ducked my arrow, and ran off again. I took another arrow out of my quiver, and as soon as I put it on my bow... here she comes AGAIN! I was doing everything I could to keep from laughing, as the old saying goes Third Times the Charm. I was so amazed that I got three shots at the same deer and had to give the Good Lord the credit. After the third shot, I was finally able to laugh at myself for about 20 minutes. It's been one of my favorite bow hunting memories.
Jeff, I can tell you know what you're talking about as I have been practicing at height before every season for years. It is a must do for me. Top of the heart all day long brother. Another spot on video. Keep them coming. God bless.
Always enjoy your videos Jeff. And always appreciate your zeal for the Lord. We are in Northport, Alabama visiting our son and his family and of course I packed my takedown bows and brought a Yellow Jacket target to keep shooting while on vacation. I might even utilize our son’s porch roof for a little elevated shooting practice. Many blessings. Mike Balos from Michigan
Do a video on how you tie those nocks you did on my vapor....man thats so much better than a brass nock.......i think 90 percent of guys starting out struggle because things are not tuned......it took me ten years before i could shoot and know it was my setup and not me......tuning vids would be awsome....you have it mastered.....
Hi Jeff I have the realtree Edge Elite Riser. With Sanlida Hermit X10 carbon foam limbs. Sweet setup. Demands a deep hook and nail drives it. Shooting 550 carb trad victories. Top hat 125 tips. FAST. SWEET ACCURATE.
Great video Jeff! I have been shooting from my roof and on the ground in my Turkey pacseat practice like you hunt it's definitely worth it!! God bless and Aman!
Another good video Jeff thanks What do you tell yourself when you’re getting ready to release the arrow? Seems like one of the hardest things for all of us to do? Robert Carter has a pretty good one Push it through a hair!
Hey Jeff. What length feathers do you run when shooting broadheads? I have small 1/18 two blades or a 3 blade that is one inch. I shoot 3 inch feathers but thought of a 4-5 inch feathers???
I got a couple dozen of the Dragon 8’s to do just this. Just FYI they may be a touch brittle. I flexed them out but I glanced off the legs of the folding chair I had my block on. That sucker looked like it was saw cut how it sheered. Not complaining because I shouldn’t have short drew the shot, but just for informational purposes. It was a 500 spine at 29” with a 13 grain insert and a 175 point. The cheapo 8’s. Otherwise, if you hit like intended, they are plenty accurate.
Little old buck I'd been hearing and sensing for 20 minutes. I'm sitting like a frog, mot moving, when he suddenly bolts directly under the stand and stops with his butt towards me. He raises one back foot and turns his head and neck back as if to scratch himself and looks me directly in the eye. Never heard a deer laugh but I'll swear that deer was bound to have had a sense of humor. I hope he's still running around out there somewhere.
the nice buck for down south in the beginning of your video,,, your arrow was in the deer before the drop to run....maybe you can play that in slow motion....your a tac driver a good shot...most trad guys are not...they need a 8 to 9 inch forgiveness shot and the most forgiving is middle of lungs....i hope they look at your shooting ability and then there shooting ability and they choose the best odds for them...good for the goose not always good for the gander ..thanks for your video.... but most trad guys need the biggest forgiving spot and guessing a deer drops is ..well to each there own..
thats so weird...i have never had a deer drop my arrow and ive archery hunted whitetails my whole life and im 57 years old and killed giants 200 in bucks.....i have never had a deer drop...and beat my arrow.... 1 time a far shot but the deer was alert of me at 50 yards it spun and dodged my arrow....i always shoot for what i intend to hit! every time!
😂😅 my problem is I draw harder and further when I shoot animals. Same theory as "you don't feel the kick" I don't even notice my 60# recurve I can literally pull it until it stacks when I'm on a critter....absolutely impossible for me when shooting a target😂😅
