Trying to get the sound of the legendary Trichorus/Vertex unit as used by Michael Landau in the 80's . I`m using Strymon Big Sky , Mobius and Timeline. Sound is not the same but im really happy how it turns out

I used Strymon Timeline, Mobius & BigSky + Forest Green Compressor with Fender 67 Bandmaster and Torpedo Live 😃👍

You should do patches for each Strymon unit and sell them or do a patreon instructional video where people pay for your instruction on setting the parameters on each unit! :-) Thanks for the amazing video and comments!
You're welcome Andrew. That's good point. Sadly i don't remember settings anymore 😃👍 althought i think i could redo it quite easily because everytime i do a big wet clean sound it always sounds like 80's 🤣🤣
I was coming here to ask what you used. This, is killer. I spent some time Sunday trying to get the tones, delay. If I get them down on TH-U, I'll be happy to share them. I just can't seem to get the delay right, and the chime. Guessing there is compressor on there. Maybe I need to look up what Landau used around this era. Also, the reverb after the delay I assume is a shimmer? Either way tones were nailed perfectly here!

Tremendous video! Excellent guitar work. Can you post the voicing you're using? I'm looking for the chords online and they all seem wrong. You nailed it, but still having a little trouble figuring out your chord voicings. Excellent effects use and Landau's solo is amazing here! Sweet work!

@@rov_stark I recommend you to try to learn read the tabs. Its super easy. All you need to know is numbers. For example let's say we have number 7 on highest line on tab. It simply means first string and seventh fret.

I use Gp8 myself but i upload Gp5 and gpx files...Basically all versions are coverd. What version of gp you have?
@@JuhaAitakangasGP5, I guess I’m a dinosaur. I’d upgrade in a heartbeat if I could be certain that the previous file forms could be used in the more advanced software. I have a ton of GP5 files.
@@funnyharleyman My recommendation is that you upgrade to gp8 and keep the good old gp5 in your computer...just in case...

I honestly don`t know. I just choose the chorus mode without checking the settings ;)

Chorus, delay and reverb are Strymon. There is also mad Professor forest green compressor in sustain mode.
