Omg tysm!! I made one and it is so cute! Had a few problems with the sewing machine not wanting to sew through it. But other than that, it was pretty simple.
thank you! yeah some fabrics might do that. Using a ball point needle (for stretch fabrics) should work better (: I used regular one for these, until I found out that there are needles for stretchy fabric lol
Im not sure what its called. I show it in the video. you can also use ZIG ZAG stitch for the long part that needs to be stretchy, theres also "stretch thread" look it up on wawak.com (the cheapest place to buy quality thread) and theres also ballpoint needles for stretchy fabrics. all this should help. but I just use everything regular and had no complaints when I use to sell these.

Thankyou are the best!!I watch you all the time now that I found you, you’ve taught me so much!! just one more question 😂how long should the strip of fabric be for the newborn headband?
@@Linda_68 newborn head circumference should be 12-13" add 8 inches of fabric to each side. so the strip should be 29-30 inches. if the fabric is super stretchy I would cut 28" if it has 25% stretch than I would do 30"
Hi Zhanna! New subscriber love your channel. I have made these bows with DBP fabric however once sewn my fabric is not stretching as much as I would like to do to the stitching. I use zig zag stitch. Do you get a ton of stretch from yours? Are you using a specific thread?
I think I get an ok amount, but I use the #08 stitch on my brother machine, (I forgot what its called) not the zig zag one, but with zig zag its suppose to stretch even more, are you cutting the fabric in the right direction?
You really should use a serger and cover stitch machine if you want the stretch. It allows knit fabric to maintain the right amount of stretch and it looks more professional.
Is there an alternate we could use for the board? What would you say the measurements for the board would be for the average adult head and one for a baby and one for kid?
depends. fabric width is almost always 60" and a yard is 36" 60 divide by 8 = so it will be 7 of these strips that you can cut out. and than depending on what size youre making, cause out of one strip you can make two small baby sizes or one for bigger like a toddler size
you can do any sizes. Newborn starts off with 12inches + 12. so cut a strip thats 24 inches length and 7 or 8 inches width (depends how thick you want it to be) of thinner fabrics cut 12"+10" (the 12inches is the head circumference of a newborn,. just standard sizing) I hope this made sence
whatever thread matches the fabric. or for very light colors white works and for very dark colors black works. sometimes I"ll only switch the little bobbin to match. most knit fabrics kind of dont show the thread anyways. just don't do like completely opposite colors unless its the look you're going for hah
yes the 12inches its for the knot and bow tails. the other part is how big the baby's head is. if you cant measure your littles ones head than you can google headband sizes and see what the "standard" sizes are.

Love the color palette! 😍 Thanks for this tutorial. Inspired to make one for my daughter 🥰

That was a great tutorial!
Have you made any Knotted Piggies tutorials? That look like the bows on the headbands
Where did you get that beautiful solid color rib?
amzn.to/3x6hXkk they only have this pretty blue left.
here's more of rib knit fabric that I get amzn.to/3zabeHU
How do the bows not come apart? Would you recommend putting a dab of hot glue under the knot?
Yeaah it would be better like that
Olá, gostei do seu tutorial ... Mas gostaria de saber para que idade serve essa lindeza?
How thick are your boards and are they sanded on all sides so fabric doesn't get snagged
yes, I had my husband sand it down on all sides. fabric does not snag, I have been using them for over 4 year no, no issues.
Hi !! Love these! They’re so cute, thank you for sharing . I thought there was a link for the boards you have ?!?
You could probably use a piece of stiff cardboard. That's just a piece of wood girl!
Hello! Can you explain the boards you use for head circumference?
I just made them myself. You can find a bunch on Etsy by searching “headwrap boards” or watch my tutorial. ruclips.net/video/oNKFopkf6Zw/видео.html
Which stitch are you using on the sewing machine and how you know what tension to use. I have a Singer quantum Stylist 9960

So did make 2 bows out of the initial 25 inch strip of fabric that you cut?
One headband.
When doing prints with this type of HeadWraps....How to you keep the print from being upside-down on the bow?
Excellent, thanks x
Can I post a pic of a baby head band with a bow. See if you can help me find a pattern?
Yes, you can e-mail it to support@zhannastar.com or dm me on instagram.com/zhannastar
What is the dimensions of your board?
Do you make these just bow without headband? I’ve seen them but can’t find a tutorial😢

Yo las agarre de Etsy y Asi me las hice. Porque están muy caras uno mismo puede hacerlas.

Does it ever come untied? How do you secure the knot if it’s not tight ?
add a hot glue dot in between the knots, or I prefer everything sewed, so you can hand sew couple stitches in between the knots (:
Hi! Love your video! Would I be able to make these with bullet fabric?
She said you could use bullet in the video 🙂
hi, yes. if you have bullet thats 4way stretch and more on the softer side vs 2way stretch.
Thank you 😍😍
GREAT video! Thank you so much
Wgere would you glue to keep it from coming undone?
Inside the knot.
Me encantarías que poder leer este vídeo en español.
Me gusta mucho tus vídeos ☺️
May I ask the measurement of the board is for the newborn
6" circumference of the newborn head is usually 12"-13" use stretchy fabric with a 6" board.

Which type of fabric you used dear?
rib knit, or any knit (stretchy) fabric
What type of thread?
If I did this with a basic stitch at tension 3-5 would I get the same result or do I need to fiddle with my settings
the basic stitch won't allow the fabric stretch withought ripping the stitch apart. you can try it with stretchy thread
also simple zig zag on the sewing machine would also work. all sewing machines should have it (:
@@Zhannastar thank you for responding so quickly, I do have zig zag there! Very excited to try this out, tension should be okay at 4 still?
@@mariahbrooke9370 I would raise it higher if you can (:

Hi, I'm using a stretchy material but when I stretch it it's ripping the seam. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, what kind of stitching is it? Did you use zig zag or the one that i use? It cannot be a regular stitch. Using stretch thread will also help
How do you pick what size to make the boards?
ruclips.net/video/oNKFopkf6Zw/видео.html
Love these soooo cute! Which stores could I buy these fabrics from? Or do you just strictly buy off amazon?
amazon or etsy, you can search stuff like "rib knit fabric" for this type of knitted fabrics
You can get the fabric from JoAnn Fabric and Hobby Lobby.
Hy madam,
Could u pls tell us which material used the bow
this is rib knit
Where online website available this cloth
How to buy this cloths
Sooo cute!! Thank you!
Am I able.to use liquid stitch? I've never sewn before.
yes, I haven't done it because I am not a fan of gluing things like these, but I dont see why not
Hello ! What kind of labels do you use on these headbands ? I think the prints do not work on waffle or rib knit fabrics? please
like label tags?
Sorry, yes labels tags , I think the stamps do not work well on waffle fabric

For which child ages?
what does the back button do?

You can google ‘headband measurements” newborn usually starts off at 13inches. 1 year olds at 18inches. adults are like 21-23in

tilt to the side when its on?
@@Zhannastar yes! And in general before wearing as well. Sorry for the late reply and thank you for responding
Would bullet fabric work for this ?
yes it would! especially if its the 4 way stretch bullet fabric. if its too bulky instead of 8" width try 6 or 7

Hello new subscriber here, how many inches do we add to the child’s measured head inches? Your tutorials are so helpful 😀
12 inches (: if the fabric is super thick I suggest adding 14
12 polegadas é mesma coisa que 12cm?
Is it possible to do this without sewing machine?
yes, you would have to stitch by hand using a regular sewing needle and thread.
This is for newborn?
