yeah just changed his style I always loved him and still do cause its a history lesson about games and the time period.
yeah avgn has been around since 2004, without him you wouldn't have had nostalgia critic or any other reviewer that uses lots of humour, sketches and characters.
Yeah, AVGN's been at this for well over fourteen years. He's had crossovers, a movie, he's got a wife and daughter. Hell, the guy's still going strong after all this time, so there's no telling when his run will end.

Fun Fact : This game was made in less then 4 days by 2 people, an Ex-Nintendo and a unknown Square employee as an middle finger to the greedy game industry at the time. It never was made in Carriage form and was only on Floppy disk form for computers. The game's offensive imagery and random parts were ment as a joke, but still no one identified the Dead body, and the creator is not responding to the questions about it although it is presumed to just be found while searching on the Early days of Google for material, and the images on the back of the "CHIN IS A KILLING MACHINE" is pressumed to be Halocaust victims.
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of the AVGN.
I recommend you guys react to the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties!" I swear, that has to be the worst game he's reviewed so far!... I think you'll enjoy it! XD

Hong Kong 97 was made by a Japanese reporter Yoshina Kurosawa, and he deliberately made the game as bad as possible to criticize the video game industry. He made it in only two days; and it shows. The picture in the death screen really was taken from that of a polish boxer who killed himself.
The death photo was actually taken from a death in Bosnia in 1992.

Fun facts: the game was made by 2 people. A magazine writer and a game programmer, HappySoft is not a real company, and the game was meant as a satire towards the bit wars that was going on in the early 90s.
The date 1997 was hardly a coincidence! I never understood why the AVGN acted surprised. 1997 was when the LEASE of Hong Kong to the UK ended! Hong Kong never actually belonged to England; it was literally leased for 99 years!

Some of the surrounding areas, like Kowloon and "the new territories" were bought by England, but they were also returned to China as a package deal. Shortly afterwards, Macau was also given to China by Portugal. I have been to both many times, before the 1997 handover.

Nerds don’t live in their mother’s basement. Such a outdated stereotype. The people that mankind to the moon are nerds/geeks. The majority of people with a IQ above 120 are nerds. I’m a nerd so I would know. Just because we collect nerdy things doesn’t make us basement dwellers.

1997 is reference to when China took Hong Kong back from us Brits. We had it leased to us for a hundred years. The reds in this case I suppose is China. I know many people here from Hong Kong who were concerned about China taking it back.

When British left HongKong was under huge pressure to become a part of china as it is surrounding by china on all sides. People in Hongkong didn't like that idea cwz Hongkong was democratic at that time so they protested made games like this. Jackie Chan being from Hongkong (Bruce lee was dead by that time he was also from Hongkong) would have been the obvious choice for protagonist.
I know I have been watching James do this show since about 2006. Not sure if that is when he made the channel, but I know that he only have a dozen videos or so by the time I started watching but back then he was called "The Angry Nintendo Nerd."

During the game play there was a fund rise to help her managing a chess tournament she organized. At the end of a 2 hour video there were $278 donated to her. But that's not the case with this reaction video (whatever this means). No! Here we have $750 from one viewer only. Jesus!
That's the only reason, because other than that there is nothing more in this "reaction" video. Nothing! Just a girl who is bored and boring, and a dude who tries to articulate some of his thoughts on AVGN's video, but fails. Those who are donating to them may or may not be dumbasses, because throwing a few bucks here and there may be OK. But not when you throw a "shit load of money" for absolutely nothing.
