My theory on why so many great singers from the Philipines is that the incredible Lea Salonga has inspired a generation to believe it's possible for them to become professional singers/performers. I think kareoke is also their national pastime and with the internet and smart phones these days they don't have to sell their soul to record producers for them to be seen around the globe. Just my thoughts. Cheers
