Your number is the probability of getting the same thing three times in a row. The equation for having the same modifier three times in one game is really complicated, but the answer probably isn’t very low.
The answer for twice is a bit simpler, and getting the same thing twice happens about 99.95 percent of the time for matches that last 17 rounds.
Also, I’m commenting this so late that this information is irrelevant, yay.

You’d use binomial distribution and it would be a 0.743% of getting that specific crouch effect three times, or you could times that by forty for the chance of getting any effect three times, which would be 30.6%. So there was about a 1/3 chance that an effect would crop up thrice.

Although, when you consider that you could have gotten any one effect three times, it’s 30.4. So it isn’t actually that unlikely that one would crop up three times in a game of seventeen rounds.
