Question I got a 1985 club car new to this I saw some in your video could you let me know on the big terminals coming off forward Reverse switch where they all go to I see where one goes lol bottom right to positive battery for 18 volts
So I sold this cart over 2 years ago, review this video again, at the 12 min mark I show a wiring diagram and the connections to the FNR switch. This is going to be the best I can offer. Good luck! Glenn
I just got a 1987 club car DS electric for $300!! Has batteries but I'm going to take them to a battery store and get rebuilt ones and trade them in since the batteries only read 1 volt or under.
Vey very nice Glen! I m keeping a Melex 512E goin. Been great then solenoid just clicks then garble garble 🤷🏼♂️ Gonna do wires like you did give it a good individual charge and do a motor test. Maybe needs brushes. Thank you 🙋🏼♂️
My 36 v melex all of a sudden stopped and solenoid clicks and motor growls.said 35.9 volts but connections corroded and 3 wire ends questionable. Thought it was motor or controller but I went ahead and CLEANED, CHANGED ALL WIRES & Individually charged each battery. FIXED, 😳 WORKS GREAT. Must have full 36V to operate and batteries were out of balance. Ready for winter. Yay!
Think I had about $1,000.00 invested and around 40 hours of mostly body work and cleaning. Sold it easily for $1,700.00. Did you see the one I just got this month?
At 11.50 I show show the battery connections and the entire video was about hooking up the batteries. You might watch it again. The 18 volt tap is power for reverse. Half speed..
Foozeball is the devils game ...😈

@@GlennsSpeedShop no I didnt not yet
Hi from Australia can you please show the wiring diagram for batteries and forward / reverse .
At 11.50 I show show the battery connections and the entire video was about hooking up the batteries. You might watch it again. The 18 volt tap is power for reverse. Half speed..
@@GlennsSpeedShop Thanks so the cable for reverse does not connect to 36volt.
The reverse tapped the batteries at 18 volt to reduce the speed.
@@GlennsSpeedShop Thanks so much for your help.
You can take the old batteries to some battery stores or junkyards and they'll buy them from you!
I bought brand new ones at Costco for 95 bucks each. Needed these for cores. Did you see this week's video on the Toro golf cart?
@@GlennsSpeedShop Not yet. Also I found a battery store that has rebuilt golf car batteries for $45 each with core return
Dan that's cheap do they ship I live in Texas
Where is that place
hahahaha back then this was a speed wagon hahahhahaha
im going to put the conversion kit on mine make it a 2021 cart they only 600 dollars to change resistor cart to modern cart
What is the kit you used/ordered for the conversion kit? What is included?
