Hey 41, we've really been missing your awesome video content, especially on RC. V5 is out, would love to see some new videos on it. You do an absolute fantastic job on showing how to use these wonderful tools together. Really inspires me to compose with them😊 Hope you've been well!
I hope you do more videos on composing music, especially like the videos on RC. You have the perfect approach and a really good narrative voice. What made you stop?
Hey Fingers! I bought the RC thanks to your good explanation. I'm a total newbie and it certainly would have taken me a long time and I certainly would have stumbled a lot with the possibilities. Perhaps only after discovering things that were now discussed here. I and many others, I think, have received a huge boost from these sessions, and I am very grateful for that!
You're an absolute star, you have brought RC to life with these great tutorials, I would never have gotten as much out of it without your help! many thanks.
Can only endorse these sentiments as RC is such a powerful and deep tool that it can appear overwhelming to the uninitiated. Seems there is something of a dearth of narrated tutorials for RC on the internet at present but given the recent addition of the MIDI Mutator tool, that will hopefully change. Kudos for a very well structured and insightful video. Deserters like 'Captain Chords' have been deservedly court-martialed. Keep 'em coming.
@@exitthelemming145 I haven't played about with RC since this comment, and I'm still undecided if it's worth picking up the paid version, what's MIDI Mutator tool?
@@EmpiricalMind It's a tab in RC where you can load in a MIDI file and randomize/change the timing, pitch, velocity, chords, accents, rhythm of the notes you select (you can lock the rest) Many DAWS have the bare bones of these features already but none with the depth and sophistication of the MIDI Mutator
While watching this video the frustrating Unison MIDI Chord Pack ad appeared twice. Those guys must know that your explanation of RapidComposer in here can overthrow their business model in a heartbeat. Thank you for experimenting, it helps others out tremendously.
Thanks for this video. Very helpful, as usual with you. Something that happens to me often is what has happened when you have imported the chords from Ezkeys to RC: the last chord (bar 4) has arrived as E minor, and not as E minor7. However, it sounded good. It also happens when importing chords from midi files from the import midi tab. For some strange reason, there is always some chord that changes, and, although it is usually nothing transcendental (since it is usually a chord similar to the one that should reach RC) it is not exactly the same. If I take a chord progression from the Scaler to the RC chord bar, it's usually the same chords, but there are also times when they don't match and you have to change it manually.
Excellent RC info! BTW, can you tell me how I can get my midi keyboard (Native Instruments S61) to automatically start RC in the record mode when I play my first note (in manual its says this can be done) ? Now I have to press RCs red record button then start playing which means my notes dont start at bar 1 . Thanks!
So what are you working on these days and how is life and love and passing fancy going ..you reach out you make friends ..for some your absence on this frequency is missed 😎
Really impressive demo there. Thanks for the vid: I always learn something new. Would you say RC4 is the most complete and/or in-depth composition tool for desktop you've used so far? Very interested in buying this tool and using it with Scaler and Instacomposer.
I feel a video comparing it to scaler is needed. Yes it does far more then scaler but also has a ui learning curve that can be frustrating but that is why I make these videos. I recommend getting the demo first. I think the future for RC is very bright.
A Note. Your first step is a mistake. No way you should lose sustain CC. 1. you apply wrong procedure. 2. You programs are tuned incorrectly. Solution. Import midi as external file. (you can choose import options in the corresponding menu). then midi in Rc is with sustain. You make it a joke. it isn't. There are dozens of diffrent CC - modulation, bendz etc. If you don't understand how it works why you mislead others?

Hello!. Is it possible to have a video about RapidComposer combined with Scaler 2.5? Thank you
it is possible

I wish there was a way to copy CC data into RC

Great video but man that piano has some weird shit on it,. Those samples are not transposing well. I recommend pianoteq :-).
Hey citadelo5ricks! Stay positive! That piano wasn't important. It's the methods and lessons that count.
