This is seriously top notch music. They cover multiple hard genres, and they do a DAMNED good job of it. Then they switch to something entirely different, but its no less intense, emotion-filled, or on point. This really is a great band. I mean, it really, really, really is.
They have the entire piano part on the album along with a couple hidden tracks as well, if I'm not mistaken they also did it on their other albums, Mediocre Generica, and NO GODS / NO MANAGERS, when they were known as Choking Victim
I don't get why LOC videos are constantly bombarded with people arguing. We are supposed to be on the same side. They want to divide our interests. Stop playing into their hands.

Jeffrey Canzani "Pop punk"? Lol LoC is punk with a mix of ska and some metal and crust influence (or simply put: Crack Rock Steady). Nothing close to pop punk, especially when you factor in lyrics, song meaning, and the more crusty riffs you hear.
Politikill Trash i think hes referring to sfh newer album from the dumpster to the grave. i wouldn't agree that album is anything like "pop punk" but its not one of my favorites.
@mba100 The song is referring to the MOVE organization. Specifically the 1978 standoff that led to one dead cop and 9 Move members being falsely imprisoned for it and the 1985 bombing of the MOVE headquarters by the police killing 11 innocents including children as they tried to escape. 8 of the 9 Move members from the 78 standoff are still in prison, the 9th has died. No one has ever been brought to justice over the slaughter of the 11 MOVE members in 1985. ONA MOVE!!!!!!!
My mother lost her house in Move and would like to say it was a bad thing. Five children died. Does any event in which the government kills children count as good defeating evil?

Also, if you hear something new and want to hear more stuff like it you would then know what genre/subgenre to look for. I agree that it's annoying when people argue over seemingly insignificant details but there is a purpose behind it. Now you know.
@minustrouserpants I have done enough research, and at the shoot-out in 1978 one MOVE member (supposedly) shot at a police officer. But in 1985 the only people who were shooting were police officers, and they were also the ones who shot firefighters NOT the MOVE members. And even IF they shot back, can you blame them when a bomb was dropped on their house and they were already being shot at.
I used to have this shirt when I was a kid. In highschool I got yelled at for my appearance so many times, even for some shit I wouldn't consider that offensive, but when I got this shirt I wore it loud and proud to school all the time, and the teachers, other students, and even the principal just totally looked the other way and I was never addressed about it once
definately not screamo, screaming does not automatically mean its screamo. Screamo is emo music with screaming and singing. this is hardcore, punk, crackrock steady madness. GET IT RIGHT
why are the last remaining members of the move still in jail? the police made a wrong and people are suffering and incarcerated for it. brings back a.c.a.b vibes.
i just listened to this song for the first time in almost 4 years, its scary..seems like this is bound to happen again to the protest groups going on in major cities nowadays
@mba100 its been a long time probably 2 years since i looked it up so i cant remember exactly, all i remember is whats in the lyrics. but no doubt it will be on google if you havent looked there already
some people were squatting the police said leave, they didnt the police said they were making bombs but they werend so they burned the squat down killed 11 and left 300 people homeless
Let's all fight about what label this fits into guys, cause that just makes since you know? -.- How about just listening to the Crack Rock Steady and being all friendly and shit since we have common interests? Since we obviously all love this shit regardless of what label we think it fights into. Idk just a thought.
Hands down one of the best basslines in the discography...RIP Alec
Hey! Another Godspeed fan!
Most people haven't ever heard of Operation MOVE, but I listened to LoC growing up.
LoC taught me many historic events and widened my vocab growing up to em. Bittersweet for sure as ignorance was bliss lol.
The best song they've ever made imo.

This is one of the few song that make me actually emote, Stza is just screaming pure, passionate rage. Love it
This is about how i feel most of the time nowadays, really. I'm starting to really realize how fucked i am, and how fucked the US is, and the world.

I don't think it's Stza. It's Kate C.

It's hard to say but this is one of the few punk bands that makes me cry with joy.
A-fukin-MEN brudda.
There's not much joy in this song but I get what u mean
Lyrics aside I feel like this is the soundtrack of a depression. Sad piano, then screaming
LORRA GOMORRHA the story behind it is sad.
Lyrics aside? Why? Look up the move bombing of 1985 and you won't need to put them aside. It's quite depressing.
There's an odd chill to this. You hear these almost peaceful rifts, then the singing starts and it all low and scream level
Been listening to this band for a good amount of years always my favorite stza is just such a great lyricist

May 13th/ eighty five / eleven people / burned alive....the way he sings that always gives me goosebumps.
Amen. Hell, most of the time when he sings/screams, I get them. Love this band.
I really wish LoC did more songs like this. The only similar one I can think of is living the laws.

Funny how one of the best black metal songs I've heard is from a ska/punk band
30 year anniversary of Operation M.O.V.E. may 13 1985.

I don't care what you call it, I hear the black metal in their music and its fucking sweet.

Here because Aidan is the best
Black metal screaming with classical instruments and heavy distortion dope as fuck

saw them last week at The Observatory hehees. best show ever, the pit was gnarr!!
Love the No Ca$h reference Wanderer1031.
Sounds like Black metal
Definetly it sounds a lot more like Screamo. Actually this is a tipical screamo song. A good one, by the way.
Screamo has more singing and this typical rhythm of guitar with loud bass pedal and like palm muting.

I could swear I heard that opening riff before in a System of a Down song only with a faster tempo... and that outro, Chopin?
