always a good idea to open your cabin bag before it goes in the xray to allow the staff to see whats in it.. as dive strobes etc are not a common sight for most airport xray operators
Good idea, although I still tend to get stopped so they can do a swab over the housing, strobes, etc. But heh, a small price to pay to be able to go diving somewhere warm and sunny!
@@ScubaDiverMagazine yeah but easier if these items are in your tray ready to get swabbed rather than having your full bag emptied by an officer...im a scuba diver AND airport security lol xx
That would work for sure. What I liked about the photographer's gilets I have seen is that they were lightweight, so could bundle up into your bag when not in use.

A good sized Barbour does the same job - massive pockets.
