Hi James, my mother had the same problem which was caused by filling the water bottle too high with water. You may want to try reducing the amount of water you put in it by about 1" at a time and see if that helps.
Just getting over pneumonia at 70 years old with bronchial asthma and I’m a cigarette smoker. I will fall asleep for 4 to 5 hours and wake up with so much mucus in my bronchial tubes that I got to get out of bed sit up drink fluids for 3 to 4 hours before I can even use an inhaler. i’m presently on Medicare and CIGNA is our supplemental insurance company. just wondering if they cover oxygen I can use so I can sleep at night because as soon as I lay down for so many hours my bronchial tubes just fill up with mucus. I’m OK if I’m up and drinking fluids, but it still takes hours just to clear out all the gunk in my lungs. Any help or info would be much appreciate it.. it gets pretty brutal when you also suffer from panic attacks and hyperventilation.
@@jl8805 your health care provider can tell more. sometimes those who sell this stuff can tell you about setting up the ratio of oxygen to nitrogen. but be careful because more oxygen isn't necessarily good and can cause muscle twitching to death.
I believe you can adjust your oxygen flow with the use of a pulse oxymeter to monitor and determine whether you achieve a suitable level of oxygen saturation. HOWEVER, you will need to talk to your doctor to determine how much oxygen is safe for your body as too much or too little oxygen can be harmful (to your heart function and breathing).

The oxygen comes from the concentrator after other gases are filtered out. You don''t need to refill it as the air is taken by the device from the atmosphere itself.
I did a background check and found that the American Lung Association gets big money from manufacturers and pharmaceutical houses for product promotions. Johnson & Johnson, for example is the ALA's biggest "donor," who hopes to convince physicians and the public to buy their NicoDerm patches and Nicorette gum products --- products that simply don't work and are expensive besides!

Do your lung muscles become weakened from using an oxygen concentrator, i.e., machine doing the work your own lungs should be doing❓❓
I dont believe so as your lungs are still doing the breathing. You are just breathing an higher oxygen percentage than exists naturally.
Not at all it only puts out a small amount of Oxygen were not talking about an Iron lung here
The pressure at which O2 is pumped is miniscule so its mostly your lung muscles that are doing the work
