I had the pleasure of being at this game. Both sides put on a great show despite the very hot conditions. Argentine were quick, dynamic, but a little too open and wasteful in attack, whereas Romania played a very smart and clinical game. Hagi's composure and left foot, it's precision was a joy to watch. It's sad that his name doesn't get mentioned as much as it should, he was a truly great player. As for the final, and knowing how hot Pasadena was at the time, it's a miracle that an injured Baggio managed to play 120 minutes.

Echo many of the comments here, this was the greatest world cup game I watched as a kid, my first WC was 1990, by the time of 1994 I watched lots of the games and this game I turned on not really knowing what to expect, it turned out to be the best game of the world cup and as a neutral, I loved everything about how both sides went out to play this game. Romania were magnificent
