The dancing ghosts are great but the instrumental was so crap, the "ghostbusters" weren't even dressed like the characters in the film, and WTF was Dom DeLuise doing at the end?? I mean, I like Dom Deluise, but this was so random...
Worst (and probably most expensive) production number EVER at The Oscars (yes, over Snow White). I remember being horrified at the time. Take a one line song and stretch it out for SIX AWFUL MINUTES! I love that they even got the leads costumes wrong. And the moment where every one is waiting for something to come out of the wall and nothing does. Just horror after horror, with stupid ghosts.
Ray Parker Jr looks embarassed at times by this . I am a grown man forced to sing along with these idiots dancing like fools? Almost as bad as the Ann Reinking performance of Against All Odds which has to be the worst ever performance of a good song at the oscars.
