Just before Whisperinglife uploaded her first ASMR circa 2009, Lita (massageclips) used to upload videos with a real ‘patient’ and it really did it for me. It’s especially effective for people who prefer the attention on someone else but who can still ‘feel’ what they’re experiencing. Wish more content providers did this.

As much as I love your videos, I would hate you checking my eyes because I would be just spacing out at your voice, and the whole reason I never got glasses when i needed them was a) cheating on memorising the letters when I was a kid, and b) just having a far too relaxing optometrist when I was a teen.
