Imagine writing this in your 20s… Holidays must end as you know. All is memory taken home with me: The opera, the stolen tea, the sand drawing, the verging sea, all years ago. …and feeling the memory of that time in your 50s What a beautiful genius.
all these years later she is still magnificent... so much feeling and I think her voice probably could clinically lower blood pressure it's so relaxing
agreed; i have no complaints of her performance in front of the orchestra at Lincoln Center last month. But in a perfect world, I would have heard this. This is heavenly.
I often wonder if I'll be "the man in 119 (who) takes his tea all alone". But you know what? If that's what inspired this masterpiece, then I won't complain. There are a handful of absolutely perfect songs. I have yet to be convinced there is one more perfect than this.
Nice, thankyou...... would love to put a bit of Harmonica to the song's....from an old rkn roller....that has recorded in Abbey Rd ...studio 3 a time or two or more ....ancient day's....60's-70's .....almost beyond memory!
Absolutely not disrespectful. Just a way to differentiate between the Maniacs music and her own personal solo art. Especially since 10,000 Maniacs still tour with the name
Loved when she used to close 10,000 Maniacs shows with this song with her playing the piano solo.

What a beautiful genius.
She has an ancient soul and I love her for that.
So beautiful! Can’t understand why people are talking during it. It’s a masterpiece!
Soooo many people chat at many concerts these days. Very distracting.
Agreed. It drives me nuts.
Some people were raised rude.
LOVE this song and this version is beautiful.! .. seeing her at the Kennedy Center with the full symphony and hope she plays it there !
Is she playing in the concert or opera hall? I saw her years ago at The Warner, Innocence Mission opened for her.

So ridiculously good. This lady has carried me through years of ups and downs..and I’m a lifelong metal musician.
My husband and I are huge metal heads as well! But there’s just something about her voice…
Fantastic video to whoever posted it. Crying the whole time
That would be me and I thank you very much 🎻🎼🎤
55-yr-old father of three adult children, and I'm reading this through my own tears. Brilliant.
I was there -- fantastic show. 🥰💕
Beautiful! I wish she would have done this one when I saw her in Cleveland last month. But I loved everything she did do, anyway.

Wow......love her.
10000 Maniacs cover? A bit unrespectful, not?
