Absolutely beautiful shooting grounds... Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
🙂👍🏻🇨🇦
I believe the 3 's seemed more stable... But both seemed better with the lumi nochs? Slightly heavier? or just dazzle? I'm new to archery , reading other comments say agree.. Phew!
Hello Francois hier.
I was shocked to see that the three fletch seemed to fly with less oscillation than the four fletch arrows. Not what I expected. But did you bare shaft tune and nock tune first? So many variables. Both sets of arrows had definite spin and all the shots seemed reasonably accurate. The question of spine and draw weight comes up. What about arrow weight and FOC? Your video seems to ask more questions than it answers but thank you so much for this very interesting footage. Gotta love slo-mo. Please give us more.
I’ll definitely do more slomo, and answer all the open ends, we have a lot of testing to do 👌🏻
@@HannoDeKlerkArchery Thank you for all the work, it helps.
that is sweet with the light up nockes
The 3 fletch seems more stable to me. Maybe it;s just me. The 4 fletch does appear to rotate more... But is it or is it because there are 4 fletches making it seem that way. It was a really cool video and nice to see how much work the fletches actually do.
I have to agree, I couldn’t see any improvement with the 4 fletch.
I noticed all the 4 fletch shots were better than the 3 fletch lol
4 fletch just steers a fixed blade broadhead better
Cool camera work. I’d check your clocking. I think you would benefit from left instead of right.
You make nice video,don't stop.
Thanks a lot! 🏹
Hey man, are your arrows still fletcher with the Bully vanes? How do/did you like them?
Bro what is your arrow setup, (spine length gpi weight up front)
It’s 300 spine goldtip kinetic, 100 gn up front, 29,5” and they weight about 450gn
If you can add more weight up front and shoot them on slow-motion. Because i can notice movement left and right in flight let us see if more weight correct this thank you very much
Really cool video. I dont undestand what happends when the arrow arrives to half way. I think is a spine related problem. If you release in a non proper way, the arrow must stabilize itsef in the few first meters. Instead it seems that after the few first meters, something wrong happends. This, in the most cases, is related tk not correct spine. Try to paper test your srrows at 15 or 20 meters.
Wich type of app do you use for slow motion?
Nice video boet! What jig are you using?
Thanks 💪🏻 it is the Bitzenburger fletching jig 👌🏻
Wonderful work, 👏👏👏
May I ask you what camera did you use to capture on low speed?
Do you think it drops lower on your target with four fletch?
Have you done bare shaft tuning?
Yes bit not with the release I was shooting with, I used my hinge in this video, not pulling of the best shots, but it made a good show 😬
interesting video! Greetings from Italy
i love your accent where are you from
Haha thanks man, I’m from South Africa, English is obviously my second language
Your doing a lot better than I am for a second language 😂great vid btw
Especially English that’s hard man
Don't know if it's my imagination but, it looked to me as if the 3 vane arrows were flying better!!!
The 3 fletched was faster in the end, but the 4 fletched seemed to be more stable and faster rotating in the end of the flight. It makes sense I think...4 fletched introduce more drag, but also more stability it seems.
Pretty damn cool. Now, how far are you from the target? And about how far from you does the arrow stop gyrating around and enter smooth flight? Being able to estimate distance from the video is practically impossible. With the naked eye or watching an arrow even through binoculars from behind someone shooting doesn't show this. ( it's December 17 and I hope all is well for you. And you're out on a big hunt somewhere. Archery deer season is about over here and I'm still waiting ( after dozens of hours in my hide?) for one of two really really great bucks to screw up and give me a shot),
Some of those are swimming hard 👀😉
Yep they do for sure ☝🏻
Who the camMan?
👀👀
You should bare shaft paper tune then make the same video
Definitely going to do a follow up version 💪🏻
hey man
interesting camera work, i couldnt agree more with you! how an arrow flies has always fascinated me.
please do more ta on different arrow setups?
i've always felt the extra drag is not worth the effort. also, you're shooting a compound bow - seems accurate enough with a 3 vane : )
i shoot trad
regards
Thanks mate! Appreciate it. 🏹
Not that conclusive, though interesting experiment. Rekindled my interest in archery. Thanks.
Back end of 4 fl swung left and right more...probably from the weight
Thank you
awsum dude
Hanno why don't you do a test with 3 Vanes vs 4 vanes comparing fixed blade and mechanical broadheads flight and accuracy at a reasonable hunting scenario distance (max 40 yrds) ? :)
Definitely one of the videos on my list 💪🏻 waiting for a few things to fall in place 🤞🏻
Kicking tail right and correcting well down range.
I’m still learning to shoot my hinge, all the shots didn’t break off perfectly
It looks more like camera angle, I thought they kicked too, but they all seemed to have the same flight pattern from the camera’s perspective...great videos. Wish I had a high speed cam to use on all my arrows!
Interesting topic, would potentially be more of a difference with a mechanical broadhead up front🤔
Or even a fixed blade 🏹
My bad, was thinking of fixed heads😊
What's the length and height of the vane you're using
These vanes are 2” long and the profile is about 0.44 “ at its highest point 💪🏻
Nice video🔥🔥
Thanks a lot man!
Good stuff mate. Are you thinking of running four fletch? I had that dilemma 4 months ago. Find a difference when it comes to controlling fixed blades at a distance.
The bow is pretty well tuned at this stage, so shooting fixed blades in not really a problem, I just thought that they might stabilise quicker and help out when you released a bad shot.
Hanno De Klerk how are you finding your accuracy with the change to your hinge release ? I know it takes some time getting use to it. Do you plan to do any hunting vids?
The accuracy is best described by a roller coaster, one day I’m on fire, the other I’m not able to make a single good shot. We also gym quite a lot the last few week so my back and shoulders struggle to keep up with the intense training sessions. I believe my muscles will stabilize at some point. I am planning to hunt this year and want to pull it off with the hinge, hopefully Covid doesn’t screw that up😬
Hanno De Klerk yeah I understand where you are coming from. Physical strain on the body impacts me if I over do it. Good to know and I hope this all clears and you can put all your practice to good work. We are not allowed to hunt in Australia either through the Covid. Only benefit I can see is it may give the animals out there a good break also. Okay well all the best with everything. Thanks for your vids and well done
Thanks mate! I appreciate, keep well 💪🏻 we’ll chat soon 🏹
Great video
Only difference I see is the four fletch starts to spin faster and spins more turns than the three fletch.....so a four fletch would drop more than a three at longer distances
Angelo Gountas I also assume so as there is more drag, but other than that, tje 3 fletch works perfectly 💪🏻💪🏻
I think you are problem with tune.
Both shaft fly unconsistent and bad attitude
There is no problem with the tuning, it's just bad shots that go off with the hinge. It clearly shows in the arrow flight, for sure!
@@HannoDeKlerkArchery
What is your draw lenght and draw weight
70sztom 29” and 70 lbs
@@HannoDeKlerkArchery I agree... Facial pressure and all other types of things that probably happen to all of us all the time but with out a slow mo camera we never see it. The camera makes it much more pronounced than in person. Likely most of us have the same thing it just happens so fast we don't see it.
4 fletch is a lot more stable
It sure looks like it spins faster 🤷🏻♂️ which should make it more stable 😬
