Laos is doing that already for years now. Laos has Vietnamese language in their school and many many Vietnamese settlers in Laos, there is a strong fear by the people of Laos that Laos is loosing their identity and culture. I think in my opinion Vietnam is doing what Japan did to Korea by trying to turn Laos and Cambodia into one Vietnam. The only difference is they aren’t invading, killing, or using violence or force like what Japan did. They’re doing it subtly and non-violence slow takeover. Very very smart strategy! Once all done they just flip the switch and say we all Vietnamese now. I hope and pray 🙏🏼 that it’s not true.
There is no significant benefit to learn the Vietnamese language, as it not widely used internationally beyond its country of origin. You have to ask yourself, why don’t the leaders of your country promote the English language more? English is internationally recognized and widely used throughout the world.

You are absolutely correct! Laos is already taken by Vietnam. The same can be said about Cambodia; if it hasn’t happened already.
