Love these types of video, explaining your thoughts for framing and light considerations is super helpful for my own thought processes.

Serge, Thanks again for another beautiful tour of Paris. There is so much to photograph. My head would explode. The river is a great site, with the flowing water and multiple old bridges built on a human scale. Sunset in summer makes it tough with the crowds. You might try a dawn expedition to lose most of the people and compare and contrast it's gold and blue hours with that of sunset. Paris in the winter and/or snow might be another video project. Keep shooting.

That's what I end up doing during golden hour, looking more forward to the magic of the blue hour! Great video! :-)

People in the city can be tough on composing a scene, I find it’s best sometimes to find way to include people in my composition!

Liked the blue hour shots best.
Noticed Eiffel Tower in background with beams of light coming out of top, have you ever photographed the tower like that ?
    Merci mille fois,
    Martin 👍

I don’t trust in presets from others. Not even if you are a winning-award photographer or world wide recognized. They will never help because there are reasons like momentum. This means that the light you have at the certain time, will not be the same for others. Everyone shoots, in the first place, different than the others. The light he has now, no one will ever have it. I love this guy and the efforts he does to raise the volume of his voice to show confidence. But I think he is a freaking good photographer. That’s it! He has to understand that no one will ever take pictures like him and he will never take pics like the others.

Thank you Serge! Love these videos where you actually go on a hunt to take pictures. I know you didn't get your best shots, but your explanations why this wasn't the best moment made it very helpfull.

Thank you Serge for the great videos. I have always loved your videos and I'm happy to see you more frequently now. Your "how I shoot my photos" is always great to watch :)

Yo Serge, I'm loving your work. I know ISO became a word. But the film you use has an ASA, not a word. American Standards Association possibly!! Germany had Din instead.
Going to South Italy soon and your ideas are so helpful. Find the shot and move

Damn. You made me want to go to Paris again. To many years since I have been there - and it is my favourite Big City. Can you clarify for me - what was it that you forgot on your lens? I cant hear it. Otherwise you will get blurry photos You said. - I also think it is funny that You try to shoot that old Leica. It WAS a fantastic camera at the time, but today...? I used to like 400 asa films, they had a nice soft contrast and not to grainy. Especially for the conditions you worked under in that video, I would have liked the 1600 asa Fuji that was amazing for the analog time - I made some amazing shots with that film and a small Olympus MJU II over in New Orleans in the 90's . Keep it up Serge!

So good to hear that! And to clarify I was saying make sure to take stabilization off when you’re on a tripod so you get sharper photos.

It is the Sirui brand. Many thanks for your comment! Is there anything else in particular that you would like to learn on photography? I will make a video about it :)

Hello! I prefer when there is clouds and a gradient to the sky rather then just plain blue, I find it more interesting
