Love the Bowie "so" at the beginning, always reminded me of a Bowie Lodger-era song this one. Dunno if it was intentional or not.... Still Kill Uncle is great I never understand the negative comments it gets especially from people who like Morrissey...
Would have been interesting to see Kill Uncle re-recorded with this band. It wouldn't have been that great still, but the live versions sound a love better than the album. And Our Frank and Mute Witness are pretty good, even with their crappy production.
Terrific version of 'Our Frank'. I find the commenting regaurding favourtism of then to now or now to then sort of ludicrous. Morrissey is unstoppable in any era his newest record 'Years of Refusal' might be his best, but then the same can be said for each of his long players.
@will548 I agree mate. The tunes were there, it was just quite poorly produced I think. I enjoy all bar one of the songs off kill uncle live, theyre bloody brilliant. It's the album versions lacked oomph, and sounded, to be blunt - a bit gay? And underwhelmed.
