Good job! I've done the Emory Peak trail twice, but never felt comfortable enough to attempt that scramble to the peak. Amazing views.

Did you go down the same way you went up?

Yes, the trail is out-and-back so I used the same scramble path.

@ThisIsInput oh OK, was planning to attempt the whole trail this weekend including the south rim. I think will be a total of 16 miles and 8 hours of hiking.

@@ThisIsInput Ok. I'm putting together plans myself to head out to Big Bend and Emory is on my list of places to go. The end scramble is the only part I have questions on from what I've heard about it. Now after watching this though, it doesn't look terrible. Thanks for the video.

I was your age, probably early 20's, I got stuck up there for a couple hours because I thought I would fall on the decent. Age 32 now, I'd give it another go.

I was 28 when I did that. About to turn 32 in March. Would love to go again!

      Did Emory yesterday.
Rock scramble was INTENSE. What an adrenaline rush!
I’m 62yo and am planning to do it again in a few days.
Surprised there aren’t more accidents because the final stage is difficult and unforgiving.

It's really not that bad. Feels like class 2 at most. It was the first hike I ever did and had no issues whatsoever
