Best thing about this EPL show is that everyone tells it how it is, with proper stats and reasoning. Fed up with biased fan based EPL stuff on some other shows
Thanks ming - appreciate that. Strong, backed up opinions, with differing ones respected but challenged! Love reading all the comments the shows instigate too.
I think it made a huge difference as Trent was awful yesterday … he is desperate to join Real Madrid and it will effect his performances and the team morale if it’s not sorted and quickly , it’s the first major test in the Slot era .
@BecauseWeWin Very true, but also United looked like a proper team for the first time in a few years. I mean ETH had games where he won with awful football but this was actually a great team performance all over the pitch. Let's see if they can be consistent now and btw a small bet on them to win EL actually makes a lot of sense.
There was no betting soccer teams in singles in the 1970's ! In the early days of soccer betting you could only get trebles on, so if you really fancied a team to win you'd have to look around for 2 potential frozen pitches !
This is true.... 5 folds for home wins... trebles for draws and aways!!! and 10% tax,.... before the mid 60s betting scandal you could tho.... still don't think Utd have been bigger than 10/1 to win any match!!!
Happy new year everyone ,another great entertaining show:) Here is my analysis for matchday 20: --- Tottenham vs Newcastle --- Tottenham are in bad form right now, they are missing 80% of their defense (last game their star Udogie added to the injured list !) and the remaining 20% are overplayed , beat up and/or 18y old teenagers. There have also been rumors of their star players (Porro, van de Ven) possibly leaving, reducing the already low moral even further. Bentancur is also out due to red cards... Newcastle are on fire scoring almost 3+ last couple of games; their midfield might be one of the best in the world rn ( Guimaraes, Tonali , Joelington are the perfect mix of technique/physicality, attack and defense) and Isak having an incredible form. I think Tottenham will get smashed here, the only problem for Newcastle is that their best defender Schar is out due to red cards ,the error prone Lloyd Kelly will have to replace him . But still I don't see Tottenham getting much here , my pick is : Newcastle AH-1 @3.15 ! another pick I like : Lewis Hall Over shots 0.5 @2.40 !! that's crazy value considering he does not hesitate to shoot. Lewis Hall Over 0.5 shots on target outside of the box is @10.00!! throw that in some sort of system bet:) --- Bournemouth vs Everton --- Bournemouth are phenomenal this season, the last couple of matches there have been draws but Bmouth was the better team and should have won all of them (by 2-3 goals even !). In a press conference Dyche said that his players did not obey his instructions against Forest , they were going foward too much and not sticking to the tedious low blocking. There are rumors that Dyche lost the dressing room, and of course it is known that his style does not suit the Everton image, he might be sacked soon... I think Everton will crumble here : bmouth win @1.80 ! --- Aston Villa vs Leicester --- This one is a skip for me , 1 is @1.38 too low for me considering the mediocre form of Villa. Leicester are overall terrible but can surprise. Maybe Leicester 2 @10.50 for a fun bet ! Odds are way too high, probably because their losses against City and Livepool , I thought they were decent in those two games , especially against city ! could have won that game ! --- Manchester City vs West Ham --- City were terrible against Leicester despite the 2:0 win. Still the same problems: slow build up and terrible defending , weak midfield, etc... West Ham got smashed by LIverpool , but I think that one is entirely on Lopetegui who produced one of the worst tactical disasterclasses this season , playing 5 at the back, two sidebacks on Salah , but those full backs are also ultra attacking and bombing foward ?! so salah is left 1v1 against the cb ? When they were not bombing foward they still somehow managed to leave space at the wings !? with five at the back !! guess Lopetegui instructed them to only protect the middle. He also played Bowen out of position , played him as a striker, the only guy who is capable of carrying the ball foward and the best creator was isolated as a lone striker... Anyways , rant aside, assuming Lopetegui sees how terrible city are and does not go bizzaro 5-4-1 , I think West Ham can hurt City : west ham over 1.5 goals @3.30 is good ! I would bet X2 here @3.35 were Bowen not injured ! I see Kudus bulldozing past their squishy midfield on the counter. Another crazy bet I like: 1-2 @51.00 !! (city 1st half ,west ham win ; say 1-2 (1-0) ) . This is totally possible considering how shite city are, I will throw in £3 on this as a single :) Also brilliant comment from Nigel ! hoping that city smashes west ham 7-0 , so we can fade them later 😂. City have a string of "easy" matches incoming ( Brentford , Ipswich away) playing against PSG on the 22th Jan. Hope that they win all these matches so I bet big against them when they face PSG. --- Crystal Palace vs Chelsea --- Chelsea did lose the game against Ipswich ( a non-penalty called , error pass from Disasi) but they were playing their B team (Disasi, Nkunku, Felix on the wing ,etc..) despite their A team being fit and did create big chances. The loss against Fulham should have been a draw , and the draw against Everton (where they also had a lot of chances)- this string of poor results now give Chelsea 1 @ 1.95 !! I think Maresca was playing the B-team against Ipswich to boost their market value a bit before the transfer ; now these players I mentioned are all for sale ! This game he will play his 100% A-team and get back on track ! I'm going with a "safe" pick : chelsea draw no bet @1.42 ! the odds are really good since chelsea have a great team and were the title contenders 3 rounds ago 😂 --- Southampton vs Brentford --- I'd skip this one, very difficult to tell on every market 1-X-2 and goals . Interesting observation from Jack : Brentford are tired and terrible away and Southampton are more solid under Djuric, going with a fun high odds version of his pick X + u2.5 goals (0-0 or 1-1 draw) @4.50 to chuck into a system bet. A live bet might be good here, if Southampton are terrible in the first 5-10min go AH-1 brentford @3.90 ! Paul Onuachu Over 1.5 headed shots on targer is @10.00 (last time it was @17.00 !) also possible for system bet... --- Brighton vs Arsenal ---
With Timber and Saka out and Odegaard out of form it seems that Arsenal is weakened offensively. Disagree with Nigel on Jesus - he's not that good , all of his recent EPL goals were lucky deflections and on the ball he has been subpar ; last time he was good was when he played for city lol. But I do agree with Nigel that Arsenal have the ability to control games easily , and if they take the early lead they can lockdown the game and win. All that said , the odds determine the bets , arsenal to win is @1.80 too good to pass ! btts +2 @3.00 also looks great ! Great spot from Jack is : Nwaneri, Ethan to assist @5.80 , I'll throw that in:) --- Fulham vs Ipswich --- Fulham are playing great but 1 @1.55 is kinda difficult to back considering how tricky Ipswich can be. I'd skip this one for any serious betting. Ipswich 2 @6.25 looks like a fun system bet ! --- Liverpool vs Man U --- Liverpool are obviously massive favorites with 1@1.30 , that is just too low for me... Yes , they smashed west ham (lopetegui's fault) and leicester (leicester looked decent 1st half..) but I don't think united will get humiliated this time - that's just I hunch I have. I hope Amorim will drop the slowpokes Casemiro,Eriksen, Zirkzee and start Ugarte ,Mainoo, Garnacho , maybe drop De Ligt and go with Mazraoui right cb, dalot the right wingback, amad rw...eh, I don't know anymore tbh haha. Don't forget: Bruno is starting ,the red card was overturned ! I'm also not tempted for serious bets on Salah to score/assist markets, overall this game is a skip. I agree with Nigel that the odds on united are too high , I do have an interesting hunch, united are not that terrible (def better than west ham) and liverpool are prone to conceding early then chasing the result: half time united - end liv is @17.00 !! --- Wolves vs Forest --- Forest are so good rn I find it hard not to back them pretty much against anyone. I'm going big on : Forest dnb @1.61, don't see Wolves breaking through the (maybe) best cb pairing in the prem. Forest 2 @2.33 , Forest AH-1 @3.45 ! is crazy value. --- Picks of the round --- Forest draw no bet @1.61 , Newcastle AH-1 @3.15, chelsea draw no bet @1.42 (1u , 2u , 1u)
