This event ruled, easily my favourite stream of yours so far, the only negative you could point too, is the mod's deckbuilding. I genuinely want to see more of this, but maybe ask some experienced players to build the decks, coach, and help commentate next time.
I think the deck builds were intentionally pretty low-powered. I also think it was unlucky that Charlie didn't end up with the xyz or cydra deck as those would have matched up better vs the heros. Dark law was probabally the only problem card since every other deck relied on GY effects. Tri-zoo was in there just for the furry joke. I really wish there was a Yu-Gi-Oh content creator to help commentate. Too many times where nobody has any idea what's happening, and Ludwig had to try and figure it out from chat.
Well admittedly, if you're looking to "balance" the decks and offer opportunities to have a bunch silly decks to choose from, CIMO, Dzeef, Distantcoder, and so on would be pretty good to help with that. The only reason the games were super long was because everyone didn't know how to play their decks. Toast was like practicing for about an hour and bricked hardcore during the Leslie match, lol.

Lily and her inner monolouge was hilarious! Also Sykunno's deck seemed pretty OP compared to everyone elses.
I feel like the mods put zoobrigade in as the ultimate bait lmfao. Also If you ever do an event like this again with newer players please for the love of God get them some coaching or something. That first duel was torture
the hero deck having shadow mist as a one card combo that makes dark law + searches honest neos is so crazy, especially when they also have e - emergency call to search the shadow mist. wait this deck also has plasma????? yeah this does not seem on par with the other decks really

As a HERO player myself, I'm glad to see hero winning some event, Hero is in that weird spot where it's too strong for casual but also not strong enough for meta. I will say, giving hero dark law and plasma is a weird choice, but it's still weird hearing honest neos and broken in the same sentence, like if they thought that was broken, don't read Trinity, or malicious Bane, or dpe... hehehe
Please do more of this I’m a long term yugioh player and fan I loved watching you all play master duel. I know Charlie loves the card and I hope that you guys could play more fun decks like these😁
These deck picks felt weird asf. You got classic anime character decks like BEWD, DM, REBD, heroes and CyDra. Then you got a no boss mon zoo deck. That zoo deck was destined to fail from the start.
Loved this stream! Hope Ludwig has more YuGiOh vids in the future. Also hoping he collabs with some YuGiOh RUclipsrs. They did him dirty tho, Tri-Zoo is one of the worst decks for new players to learn and on top of that, it had no boss monster or win condition. Sadge
Not a Yugioh player but this was extremely entertaining. Fortunately I okay MTG so there’s some crossover with some ideas that I could follow. It was mostly just fun watching them RP whether they knew what was going on or not.
Definitely a good event, but hilarious to see Ludwig mald over Honest Neos and jump off that to "hand traps shouldn't exist", when hand traps are a staple of the YGO franchise from the very beginning, starting with Kuriboh.

This tournament had some of the funniest commentary and moments, truly a tournament of the highest caliber players using the meta strategy of “uh, I don’t know what I am doing, what the fuck does this card do”
ludwig was absolutely sabotaged by the people who made the deck. no shuraig, no kit, no bearbrumm, no revolt, no zeus, no drident. it's like they made the deck and then took out every important or semi important card that would make the deck do not nothing.

I really wish there was a Yu-Gi-Oh content creator to help commentate. Too many times where nobody has any idea what's happening, and Ludwig had to try and figure it out from chat.
Sent an email to the company ludwig owns to have yugitubers 9n board but yk. Lam3 ass.
they were down but ludwig didnt care, i saw they replied to ludwig tweet
Well admittedly, if you're looking to "balance" the decks and offer opportunities to have a bunch silly decks to choose from, CIMO, Dzeef, Distantcoder, and so on would be pretty good to help with that.
The only reason the games were super long was because everyone didn't know how to play their decks. Toast was like practicing for about an hour and bricked hardcore during the Leslie match, lol.
@@nm2358 imagine farfa or mbt commentating over these matches
charlie hitting that 6.9k finisher has got to be one of the highlights
4:29:18 I have no idea why but the way Sykunno prounces "facedown" it makes him sound like an anime character lmao.
As a Hero player watching Sykkuno play with the Hero deck hurt yet was fun watching him use it at the same time
YOU HABE TO GET THE VALE BACK HE HAD ME IN TEARS HE WAS SO FUNNY
So much of this is straight up playground yugioh and i’m all for it
Edit: Holy shit I wanted to smack the hell out of chat
Love seeing Ludwig and all these other big streamers get into Yugioh, I've seen Charlie in other yugioh content and he RULES so viewing this after I hope he wins the whole thing.
This was such a good tournament! So many funny moments! I still think my favorite battle was leslie versus vale but the charlie vs sykkuno was INSANE!
Watch half of this live, it was amazing. Now watching the rest of the vod. It's so entertaining! I don't play the game but watched it when I was younger like many others so it was really fun!
Lily and her inner monolouge was hilarious! Also Sykunno's deck seemed pretty OP compared to everyone elses.
Watched live, Coming back to rewatch 7 months later
I feel like the mods put zoobrigade in as the ultimate bait lmfao. Also If you ever do an event like this again with newer players please for the love of God get them some coaching or something. That first duel was torture
the hero deck having shadow mist as a one card combo that makes dark law + searches honest neos is so crazy, especially when they also have e - emergency call to search the shadow mist. wait this deck also has plasma????? yeah this does not seem on par with the other decks really
SOOO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT TOURNEY WITH 1 WEEK PREP!!!
I love sykunno giving lud a homie turn followed by lud choosing to combo on him at the end
I feel a losers bracket might have added a better feel for the early game losers. But none the less was a great event.
This is so good, i hope we get more of these
LETS GO YUGIOH MAINSTREAM NOW
Thank you @ludwig for introducing new variety and ideas to get people involved in. Makes for so much more vast entertainment for all people. Everyone has something they can like about your content, whether it's Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, chess, boxing, melee, podcasts?? Etc... etc... I appreciate you. I truly want to commend you and say, you have succeeded in being entertaining, awesome work. You and the team bud!
As a HERO player myself, I'm glad to see hero winning some event, Hero is in that weird spot where it's too strong for casual but also not strong enough for meta.
I will say, giving hero dark law and plasma is a weird choice, but it's still weird hearing honest neos and broken in the same sentence, like if they thought that was broken, don't read Trinity, or malicious Bane, or dpe... hehehe
I think Ludwig should've played toons. I think it would fit his style, and it's old school
This tournament was so funny and entertaining. I especially love Luds rage lmao
Loving the master duel content please do more of these to bring the game alive again
Please do more of this I’m a long term yugioh player and fan I loved watching you all play master duel. I know Charlie loves the card and I hope that you guys could play more fun decks like these😁
the fact that the red-eyes deck didn't get all 3 fusions specifically the archfiend, yet heroes got Dark Law and Honest Neos is ridiculous
I wanna see the grudge match with Luda playing zoodiac vs Ludwig's deck of choice.
This was a really fun tournament, maybe giving sykkuno dark law was pushing it a little, but still really entertaining to watch!
This stream taught me that there is a zoodiac field spell.
There is a zoodiac field spell?
These deck picks felt weird asf. You got classic anime character decks like BEWD, DM, REBD, heroes and CyDra. Then you got a no boss mon zoo deck. That zoo deck was destined to fail from the start.
Feels wrong to not have chilled chaos
That’s a man who would love to RP his duels and could handle a prebuilt deck I feel 🤣
Sadge
So much fun watching more classic decks in this
They gave ludwig no boss monsters
The roleplay makes it so much better
Once I saw Charlie was running a red eyes deck, I was instantly invested
This was way funnier than i expected!
Truly one of the best streams ever 😂 need another soon! I have never laugh so hard!
Not a Yugioh player but this was extremely entertaining. Fortunately I okay MTG so there’s some crossover with some ideas that I could follow. It was mostly just fun watching them RP whether they knew what was going on or not.
Fuslie's devastation when he brought up the "No Heart of the Credit Cards" Rule XD
She was all ready to use that Exodia deck!
Will the deck lists be posted? It would honestly be cool to have
I think it’s just 3 copies of the structure decks for most of them but maybe I’m wrong.
@1:59:47 Lily: "My dream is to... shit"
Me: Makes sense.
maan , watching ludwig fucks up everything as he plays is just priceless XD
I haven’t played Yugioh in two years or so but last I seen, the dueling school concept from GX isn’t too far off reality.
Definitely a good event, but hilarious to see Ludwig mald over Honest Neos and jump off that to "hand traps shouldn't exist", when hand traps are a staple of the YGO franchise from the very beginning, starting with Kuriboh.
PLEEEEEEEASE DO MORE OF THESE LUD PLEEEEEEASE
Bro wtf did they do to Ludwigs deck, I understand it's a meta deck, but the 1 revolt interruption isn't what makes it meta. He had legit no chance of ever winning lmao. Funny vid still
I had no idea this was going on, 6 hours of content I gotta binge throughout the week then
This tournament had some of the funniest commentary and moments, truly a tournament of the highest caliber players using the meta strategy of “uh, I don’t know what I am doing, what the fuck does this card do”
ludwig was absolutely sabotaged by the people who made the deck. no shuraig, no kit, no bearbrumm, no revolt, no zeus, no drident. it's like they made the deck and then took out every important or semi important card that would make the deck do not nothing.
Great tournament, can’t wait for the next! 🖤💛🖤💛
