I have been collecting so many ideas from so many professionals. But to be very frank, I was totally confused. Everybody have their own justifications for using a particular DAW. Accidentally, today I had watched your video and I should really really appreciate your simple and very authentic view points, which is totally from the part of a person like me who wanted to become a professional in the music field. Where is FL STUDIO gang 🔥 To be honest, I don't think daw matters. Even for collaboration stems can always be exported and shared for cross platform access.
Nope But fl is not compatible for Bollywood project. If your tracks are between 50,60,70 then only you can share through stems But The Bollywood projects are big enough, maximum songs contains 300+ tracks which is Very very much difficult to send each stem. Kabhi kabhi kuch track missing bhi ho jata hai.. And the main point is with song production they also do the film Scoring in that same Daw That's why Pro tools, Cubase, logic pro must be learn if you want to work with Bollywood But if you are a Independent artist or you make songs like Tony kakar then Whatever DAW you use it doesn't matter Tony kakar songs hardly contains 30 tracks which is easy to Share through stems So a Standard DAW does matter to work with Bollywood
Mixcraft has absolutely everything, just lacks the "Pro" tag. There's a huge peer/client pressure that made me switch to Ableton, else I had been a paid user of Mixcraft since version 5 😊 But surely there's nothing to complain about Ableton either. Planning to try Logic as well once got a Mac (if at all)😀

Reaper is also good choice for music composers. Its cheap and very powerful. 'Mr. Loy Mendoza' , from Shankar Ehsan Loy called me to discuss about Reaper. Also Mr. Vijay Rathinam from South Indian Film Industry does all his sound sfx on reaper. He worked for Indian version of Tenet.
ProTools became an 'industrial standard' becuase it was for those Audio Engineers who had come out of the analogue age. But its has a lot of limitations. In the near future Reaper is going to replace ProTools in the Indian film industry...!! (Just like Avid Media Composer, which lost grounds to Adobe Premier and Da Vinci Resolve, ...in the NLE sector.)

Indian studios didn't move to Presonus Studio One or Samplitude? If you want to work in real studio...forget Cubase, no one uses it anymore outside India. It's either Samplitude/ Sequoia ( other than PT, LPX) in EU. In US it's PT,LPX and Studio One
Actually from My Personal Experiences. Studio one is there in many studios and many people use studio one like more than 40%. To be Frank in other countries Cubase is used more than in India. Most of the Studios (more than 90%) have Pro tools and Logic Pro X like it has become the requirement but in these time DAW doesn't matter for most time.

Bhai, just a small thought and question; Does commercial/professioanl stuidos or music directos use MIDI controller or keyboard? if yes, which one do they use ? if not, why dont they use midi? Your 2 cents on this will be of a great help
99% of the world uses MIDI. 99% of those control MIDI using a keyboard. 80% of those use a dedicated MIDI Controller Keyboard. Which one, doesn't matter. As long as fulfills your needs, is good to go :)

So when collaboration comes into picture shall I continue with Ableton 11 Trial or because I am in beginning stages Should I switch to Cubase. Please comment your view. So that I can proceed accordingly
Protools First is free. Good for a start. Cubase and Protools more or less has the same workflow. Try out PT First once, if liked then continue. Else go for Cubase. But Ableton is slowly taking over. If you wanna continue using Ableton, I don't see much problem. I myself am also a Ableton user

Pro Tools has a Free version among all discussed here. The rest you have to purchase to start. Logic and Pro Tools have a very similar (not same) workflow.

Hello. Am a puchku sa music composer from Kolkata and am making my home studio for the first time. My main purpose will be creating the tracks of my already composed songs. (Sometimes with various musicians ). So that I can go up to the producers and directors and labels. Later on, with the track/scratch.. And I will also be making short videos, on social media of cover songs just on my Midi... And will sing on my condenser mic.. I will also be making BGMs and will be doing scoring in various projects (If I get to do so).. But to be honest.. Am going to be a music producer just at my own home. Bcuz my main target is to be a singer/composer in bengali Music Industry (Tollywood).. Thus, am not planning to approach any other studios for any kind of collaborations... I will do Music production only to produce my own music. Now, Shall I go for Ableton live? (As I may need it during my live shows).. Or shall I go for Cubase..? Moreover , please do give me some tips or any advice regarding music. If you feel like. After reading this comment (if u read it for real 🤣) , because I might be wrong at some point. U have fallen to the trap. A daw really does not matter. It is u and ur talent. For example in his list of daws he has no fl.....go ask many others.

I started learning from mixcraft and shifted to ableton . Glad you mentioned mixcraft too as its mostly underrated.

Nowadays FL studio also became industry standard.I have personally used Pro tools first & Cubase but trust me FL studio is the best.

Have you heard about aaf file format. That can be used to save presents and other configs of the file and transfer the entire project to another daw.
