He died 18 year ago today. So sad. I saw him in many tv shows and films, but I am sorry really sorry that i never got to see him on stage. I don't know how missed him! A wonderful and talented actor you were Michael Jeter! Gone much too soon.
I needed to hear this today. Sometimes it's hard for me to keep going and here is a man who publicly stood up and bared his soul to the world at a time that social media wasn't even a thought so things like this weren't shared and wasn't aloud in media and could be a career ender but he said it anyways! Bravo R.I.P. Michael Jeter!
He was soooo good in Evening Shade (3 Emmy nods, 1 win & Golden Globe nods as well) for this show alone. A super talented man and sweet gentle soul. Gone way too soon...
I come back to this speech every time I think life is too hard, that alcohol is the only way out, and I don't know what's next... I think dreams do come true.
Funny, I come back to this too every now and then. What appears to be a small nerdy guy at first turns out to be a giant of a man. Alcohol isn't the answer although it tells you it is. I know that I'm living a life that I got a second chance at after stopping. Dreams DO come true. Wishing you all the best Joenzetie!
Such a gentle spirit and loving soul. Your talent and light will NEVER fade.
He was a gay American

His words brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy that this man was given the recognition he so deserved. "😉"
His Grand Hotel Tony performance was the single most memorable one in my memory.
