cool another one of my favorite pieces that you turned into your Lionel Yu stile :-) It still amazes me how you can deliver so many different tunes in such a short space of time. As always, you managed to get everything out of the piece and then give it to us here as a listening experience.

@@4klegendaryyt379 That's probably it then. All I meant was that this didn't feel polished whatsoever, so I was referring to his being off tempo, missed notes, etc.

dude use a metronome for gods sake. he’s able to put out so many piano covers because he doesnt take the time to practice playing them in time. you will sound so much better just please practice your timing, it’s a noticeable flaw in pretty much all your videos. a true artist works to perfect their craft, not just put out as much art as they can
Lionel as the artist can use any timing he wants. What makes him unique and precious and special is that he doesn't play things precisely the way others do and have done for hundreds of years. He is creative and deliberately does things the Lionel way! Which Lionel ways I absolutely love. And apparently so do the rest of his fans. To each his own. Best. :-)
@MaPowey You do realize that Lionel was Improvising Off the original piece, yes? What he published here was his own creation. He was in no way trying to replicate the original exactly. And I love what he did with his Improv!! ❤️ ❤️
@@patriciaeverett5001Exactly Patricia, I think you wrote that very aptly, I fully agree with you! Who can improvise like that off the cuff? You have my full respect, Lionel! At least I don't just hear the piece, but also what interacts between the pianist and the piece and ultimately resonates with me. And it's not just just tones. That's exactly what makes Lionel special for me, his very special touch in the truest sense of the word.
@@angenalaschka5976 Beautifully expressed again!! I completely agree. I've never heard anyone improvise the way Lionel does. I've never heard anyone compose and perform the way he does as so emotionally involved. He is a one-of-a-kind Master for sure. He has said that he wants his music to touch people's souls. As you articulated using slightly different words, he does exactly that, doesn't he? :-)
