You can just mark a player or place near him to know the distance and later count dashes down from center of 4x scope (one dash is 50 meters) so you can make more precise shots

That doesn't work because with scoped guns, it doesn't show you the distance on a marker

Amazing advice. I sometimes use the sniper enclose as a shot gun especially if I fighting more than one player at a time. This way I can do more damage even if I miss a headshot.

Another great detailed video from TWS . He’s famous for really good quality advice. Each video is a wealth of knowledge. Unlike other channels where most of the video is just random gameplay . TWS is equivalent of a teacher in a classroom many times. Def worth the watch! U will get better watching this.

This tip video was amazing!!! I excell at every part of Fortnite except for sniping and I enjoy sniping. It seems like some players I come across dont miss with a sniper and those are pretty much the only players I struggle against.
Very useful tutorial. Still struggling with bullet drop but your tips are VERY useful to get better at it. I now lead my bullets super efficiently but still having problems with bullet drop, it seems like I'm always aiming a little too low or too high, still looking for that sweet spot you seem to hit most often than not. Hopefully, I'll eventually get it thanks to this video.
There is a creative map I love using for all kinds of practice. It has a bot royale with peaceful/survival mode
I've actually been spending more time their than the big map
Not my map but I love it. I'll build a fort around the spawn and practice everything from snipes to upclose

Amazing tips! This definetely deserves a like and sub! I've hit some trick shots before, but alwats end up messing up in a lot of areas, this cleared uo alot of my mistakes, this is much appreciated!
Learn bullet drop. Then when you see a target. Use your location marker to establish range. Send. If you have learned your bullet drop you are already ahead of the game. Leading is only slightly trickier.
Remeber two other things.
1)Don't fall in love with your position. If your position is given away move.
2) The second shot is more accurate than the first.

I like to use iron sights for sniper so I can do close combat as well partnered with a shotgun. I tried your no reticle advice and it kind of works but I still have better luck with it on.

Been a huge sniper in Battlefield, I used to quick scope back in the black ops 1&2 days, but man I've been struggling with sniping in FN
i literally am the exact same way it feels less realistic but its the perspective change from first to third person that really messes me up lol.

Using a sniper in Fortnite, is like shooting the last enemy in any wave of Space Invaders. To paraphrase Lrr from Futurama: "Instead of shooting where they are, you should shoot where THEY ARE GOING TO BE!!"

my favorite sniper build is the 4x scope, speed mag (to reload faster), plus the angled foregrip (reduced time to ads) and supressor
Only bad thing about the 4x scope is the glare it gives when you scope
@@IlE30ll well the suppressor also reduces the glare
@@antyprotogenthat’s not what it reduces. It reduces the muzzle flash, the fire coming out of your gun. The glare is always visible on the 4x scope, nothing removes it
@@GreenmiIe can players see your glare even if you hide in a bush? i dont know why epic decided to implement that light

how do you know which scope to put on? other thing: would be really nice a guide on the icons on the hud: shield shots, health shots, shield break shots... cuz it confuses me a bit
When you hit an opponent numbers pop up indicating the amount of damage inflicted. There are currently two options for HUD: each hit shows how much damage for that hit or accumulated damage. If the number is blue, you hit shields. If it is white, that is health. If it is yellow, that is a critical/headshot. When the shields break there is a sound like shattering glass. Hope that helps!

Always grateful for your tips, Toby. One quick question, is there a creative map where to practice sniper shots with current sniper rifle (or any other if it is not possible) on moving bots? Also, are there any aim training maps in FN that have current season's weapons? I've been struggling to find one. With the current situation where all weapons except for shotguns are projectile, I have to re-learn my aiming quite a bit.
Epic hasn't added the new weapons to creative yet... it's driving me crazy. Here is my map that has a sniper range: Shinobi Testing Grounds (Weapon & Equipment Test): 4090-3843-2803

I've been slowly learning but there are a few damn good shots ive made 😂 one time i headshot a dude at 200m with a holo sight right before he got behind a tree. He had a riot sheild and i just kinda guessed the shot lol i wish i could have clipped it.

You should make an updated Chapter 5 video after Epic nerfed the sniper rifles. I'm really struggling with the bullet drop adjustments.😢
Also, I'm having a difficult time with the enemy scope glint and seeing my target. Many times I can't properly judge where to aim because of the glint.

This is really good advice, but what happens for me? I choke😭 so i take a shot and i realize that they are aiming at me aswell and i sort of choke and get scared. I know its stupid but it happens everytime i hate when it happens. I end up standing there like a deer in headlights, but this might help me so ty

Question: Why not use two snipers with angled grip? Its faster to swap and aim weapons then wait for the next shot.
You could but you'd have to sacrifice something else from your load out. Seems risky to me

I stopped carrying double heals, smgs (unless I have an easy match quest for one), and I swapped out the auto shotty for the pump, I try to run double pump and Stryker, going to try using Stryker, pump, sniper. I try to go for Shockwaves over the grapple blade, and I'll pick up flow berries if I can't find either, but I will pick up porta-bunks if I can't find anything else. I've been catching more victories, a couple of them were rather mundane wins, but I'll take them. I just need to work in getting over excited/panicking during 1v2s and clutching up the very last fight. I've lost in 2nd because I either got overzealous or started panicking
Watched this yesterday but had to come back to comment today. Never was much of a sniper, just couldn't get the hang of it. But last night, after watching the video, I eliminated more players with the sniper rifle than I have the entire time I've played fortnite. Thanks TobyWanShinobi!!!!

Gotta say at the end the left and right gets confusing. You say you're aiming at the right side of the player's head but you're definitely aiming at the left side. Just a thought to stick to one way to give direction, either your right and left OR the player's right and left. Otherwise this was excellent, ty! I was analyzing a loss from earlier and realized if I had hit my initial sniper shots it would have likely been a W instead

Toby are you sure the 2x has no glint ? I see conflicting reports and no proof from a definitive test. How did you determine this ?
Got in a BR lobby (with my custom code, so its the exact same as a real game) and had an enemy scope on me with a 2x and a 4x - no glint on the 2x, but there was on the 4x.

I can snipe, figuring the range and physics in any game has its drawbacks, recoil etc.. I did snipe with binoculars and a M60E4 NA-8 Top 10 back in the day of SOCOM 1/2. 3 I was semi competative but not clanned. With fortnite I got into it a few weeks ago. At about I gather 470 kills.

My son was 6yrs old when he first was introduced to FN by his friends which was about three years ago now, of course my son wanted Dad to play with him and his friends, Long story short when i first began 2 years ago i easily died as soon as i landed. I began then to watch your videos and can say proudly I have gone from that to finishing Top 10 consistently. still have work to do but a much better player thanks to you!
