To be fair after retconning Chronicles 1-3, the atrociousness of Shadowlands and mediocracy of Dragonflight I wasn't expecting much and chose not to buy it and i'm glad I didn't. On the other hand I brought Encyclopaedia Eorzea III and i'm very happy with it.
Can't wait for chronicles 5 where they finally bite the bullet and say that Shadowlands was just a collective hallucination for all player characters due to prolonged contact with azerite dust during BFA, Saurfang actually beat Sylvanas at the end of the expansion and has just been enjoying a vacation with his new friend and pseudo-Son Anduin over the course of dragonflight
Here's why this is a good thing: Giving important lore through media outside of the game is really bad. It's good to see that the books are more just flavour sprinkling rather than important key lore that about 95% of the players will never know.
Yeah true. While wow in game lore is kinda vanilla emotionless, they should focus on in game presentation. Hate a situation like in ff7 where in game is one thing, books different and a dev says its in the middle😮
it's so funny how all the people that said the log in screen was "no big deal" and to "get a over it" and the other people were saying "the log in screen itself is not the issue, it's the fact that its a sign of Blizz becoming "lazy and sloppy" and "shirking quality." Looks like the login screen was the herald of Microsoft's intentions after all.
Hasn't it basically been confirmed from some data mined stuff that there's a bunch of assets marked for the login screen which are called things like "bush" and "house_background" etc which would point to the big stone with massive cracks in it cracking open later through the expansion? If that is the case it would mean that they spent more effort on the login screen this time around instead. So according to your own comment it would instead be pointing to Blizz improving quality. Now I personally don't think the login screen is a big deal still, no matter if it's better or worse than usual, but I would love to see some consistency from the people who said it was proof of everything going to shit. All that being said, Microsoft being allowed to buy them was not good for anyone except Bobby and incredibly anti-consumer. The fact that monopolies like this are allowed to happen just shows how governments all over the world, especially the US since that's where both these companies are located, need to spend more resources enforcing anti-monopoly regulation. The canonizing of chronicles is the worst decision Blizzard's done to the lore since the Shadowlands. An encyclopedic look on the Warcraft canon was sorely needed and whipping out the "Titan's perspective!" bullshit has ruined it

I was honestly starting to get really tired of people still holding on to the misconception that Thrall cheated during his Mag'gora with Garrosh in Nagrand. I don't even particularly like the guy but saying he cheated is just ignorant. There are no rules in a Mak'gora forbidding the use of magic. Thrall already used magic once in another Mak'gora with Garrosh prior to WotLK, so it is not against the rules. Just because he didn't use it from the stand, as he was holding back, doesn't make it against the rules to use it. The fact that the Chonicle had to literally tell us what we already know really says alot of about how absolutely stupid some people can be.

that would be awesome lol
i wonder how often you cut and paste to farm for engagement that same response any time Bellular mentions “Shadowlands”.
I think you mean "what the Titans believe was a collective hallucination"
They literally could do that, in the book Stormrage the entire planet was put into a Nightmare state because of the Emerald Nightmare.
