I loved my SV-1, which i gave to a friend, but my NP5 is incomparable. The only thing that would replace my NP is if they merged it with the SV aesthetic 🤤
Good comparison, thanks. I own an SV-1 which I absolutely love. I bought it to practice classical piano and for jazz gigs, hence I didn't mind that it didn't have a ton of different programs because I have my Kronos 2 for that. I know a lot of people love Nord, but honestly I just don't get it. I love the sound and feel of the SV-1's RH-3 keybed over all other stage pianos that I tried.
Really depends on what circumstances you use the piano. In a band situation the warmer sounds don't cut through as well. I prefer the SV-1. If used for solo work I prefer the sound of the Nord. IMO only.
I agree. I was hoping they’d put a pitch and mod wheel on the SV-2, but alas...no such luck. It makes the possibility for being a stage piano and a controller a little less enticing.
idk but the red one sounds airy that light, the opposite with the black one but people tend to choose the red one i think because the brand can lift up their social status when they use it
What your conclusion is the other way around. At least what it sounds here on my television stock speakers. SV1 is the winner. It sounds naturally warm.
Nord i think piano sound more real like grand piano. But KORG more unik and vintage sound piano. But both of them really cool and my dream electric Piano. 😁👍🎹🎶
I've used Yamaha Motif pianos , which I hated... Kurzweil k-1000 , 2000 pianos which I loved..but... I bought a Nord Stage 3... because I compared it being played on Utube... Next to actual Grand Pianos being played onUtube...
Ps.. The Nord pianos were more realistic.. I love the Sound of alot of Digital Pianos..but they are not as realistic as the Nord in my opinion... Of course this is Subjective to one's taste Thanks

Korg sv1 is a unique keyboard! Still the best stage piano!

Agreed!
If you like a very awkward synthetic overprocessed piano sample player...
@@reacionario2026, which one are you describing?
I actually think Nord Keyboards flagship piano sound is "White Grand". I think it sounds way better than the Royal Grand 3D - You should try it!
Thanks Noah! I love the White Grand as well!
The Nord has a fuller richer tone to my ears
I think so.
Agree.
Nord sounds as any sample player including ipad apps. Some liveless sound.
Well the Nord should It cost almost $4000
I'd be happy with either of them but they need to add mod wheels to the SV.

DSoundman yes, I'd be a customer if they added them. Hopefully they will listen, cause I've heard a lot of people asking for the same thing.
Lovely playing mate X
Thanks!
Love the mellower sound of the Korg. I’m sure the Nord has more possibilities though. Could listen to you play all day!
What stand are you using here? Im looking for a way to stack a synth on my sv1 that has the stage legs. Do you know of any solutions? Thanks
Korg sv1!! No doubt!!!
Can the SV-1 load up the same sound packs as the SV-2 ?
idk but the red one sounds airy that light, the opposite with the black one

Nord forever.
Nord sounds as any sample player including ipad apps. Some liveless sound.
Do you remember how much the SV-1 cost new when it just came out?
What your conclusion is the other way around. At least what it sounds here on my television stock speakers. SV1 is the winner. It sounds naturally warm.
I am not yet a Nord user but hands down it always blows any other keyboard out of the park, it’s a heavier sound. I
I own a Korg sv 1 88 and since day one I thought Keys were really heavy ... Thanks for video
Yes, I have 73 keys, and it is tough on my hands
Korg hands down has a better piano sound. SV-1 🔥
or it doesn't.. lol
Nord all day!
Nord i think piano sound more real like grand piano. But KORG more unik and vintage sound piano. But both of them really cool and my dream electric Piano. 😁👍🎹🎶
Nord does not sounds like a grand at all. It's overprocessed and fake. sounds very digital and flat
I have the Korg SV1 only. What settings would you suggest for using that one alone for Christian contemporary worship music?
Korg sv2 would be a better comparison that has 128 note polyphony
I am Brazilian and your job was great !
Compare the SV2 more polyphony SV one only has 80 polyphony Sv 2. has a 128
How would you ever use 128 voices at the same time? I think the minimum voice count for a decent experience is somewhere around 16
Have you tried the Korg SV2?
I have not, but hope to sometime! I was excited when they released it!
Great technical looks good for the nord stage 3 please write back
Thank you
Lorne ira rubin
Nord!
They sould have their own master
Nothing more annoying than having to navigate through endless menus. I’m buying a SV-1 tomorrow. I have a Nord Electro 3 for organ sounds.

Both sound good just different/A++++
all you need is nord

Nord sounds better 😁
That’s like comparing a Cadillac to a Mercedes-Benz Cadillac is nice Mercedes Benz is better
@@jeffreyreid6981 yess broo 🙏
Man the SV-1 sounds like a Ravenscroft but the Nord sounds like it has more depth
Nord sounds as any sample player including ipad apps. Some liveless sound.
I have a Korg and I hate the piano sound. Amazing for clav strings etc which I don’t use. It’s far too digital sounding! Nord is leagues above
Ps.. The Nord pianos were more realistic..
I love the Sound of alot of Digital Pianos..but they are not as realistic as the Nord in my opinion...

Nord stage 3 is better than the Korg.
It’s a unfair comparison because the Nord has 120 note polyphony were as korg has only 80 note polyphony
nord is 4 times the price of korg
its actually twice the price.. sv-2/73 is $2k, Nord stage 3 compact is $4200..and worth it
Both SUCK. Get a Kurzweil FORTE88. Best pianos EVER in a synth,
Ninguno parece piano en todo
Nord sounds as any sample player including ipad apps. Some liveless sound.
