- This is the point of view from a minnow trap in a small stream in Kentucky. The fish caught were mostly rock bass and some bluegill. The bait used was a piece of bread and a small piece of chicken. All the fish were released after the filming of this video. I used the GoPro Hero3 to film this.
Cool video, actually useful seeing how long it takes them to smell the bait.
Great job
i quit using bread years ago , doesn't last , cheap dog food works well but never tried meat , will have to experiment with that this fall when I'm setting myself up for the ice fishing season , cool vid , love my go pro , haven't done any underwater filming yet tho
That is true about the bread, I try to use the heel part that no one likes to eat and it has more crust which last longer. I wish you good luck when trapping this fall as well!
Woah This Video Is A Bit Satisfying XD Like it tho 👍🏻
Trap hole is too big they are supposed to get in and not be able to get out
Good video friend , i was just checking out your channel and i joined up
This is excellent footage, thank you!
A ton of fish swim right out.
its because he made the holes bigger, if the holes were smaller then the smaller fish wouldnt swim out, i guess he was after larger bait
I see that you made the opening much larger so the fish can get in. The thing that stinks is the bait/ fish can no escape. This is rW fresh chicken. Or chicken that's going with some stink?
It was actually left over chicken from a crock pot a couple nights before so it wasn't stinky
At 2:35 The big fish couldn't fit in the trap lol.
Nice vid bro. One question though can you tell me which type of minnow trap this is ?
Tournament choice is the brand, I got this one at Bass Pro Shops for like 10 bucks

Dang the little bass got out
the hole is too small and it must be facing down
U don’t know what ur talking abt
It is illegal to do that in some states. It's a small bait trap.
What kind of you feed this to fish trap?
It pretty many bream and sunfish.hmmm
If you are asking what i used to bait it, it was just some pieces of bread and chicken from a crock pot!
Are they some type of tiny sun fish or perch...?
Well most of them were actually rock bass but there was an occasional blue gill in there
Do you trap soul is meant for goliath grouper minnows
Are you sure those are rock bass? To me they look like green sunfish
Pear ROBLOX There's a mixture of fish in that creek. It's pretty much all panfish and small rock bass, there's an occasional bullhead catfish that will show up in there as well!
I think that they are bluegill
what bait did you use
I used a small piece of chicken that was cooked in a crockpot a few days before. You can use many different baits in these types of traps. Any type of meat works well and even a piece of bread will do the trick.
Shrek bread
🐟🐟🔥🔥🔥👍🙌

I saw some decent size perch
Yeah there's some good size fish for that stream
Do you need a license to do this
The Legendary Lizards The most you would need is a state fishing license.
2:35 lol that fish was to big for the trap
Haha yeah, and if you pay close attention later on in the video he tries again.
how did you make the whole so big
Michelle Stanley My trap actually came with that hole, but you can just take some wire cutters and cut a bigger circle in the trap!
tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop et foooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor
How did you attach your go pro in the trap?
Shayne Rakich I used the bread ties and ran it through the underside of my GoPro waterproof case. I then tied that in the holes of the trap right underneath the funnel part. The GoPro stayed pretty steady and was easy to remove!
Cool thanks for the tip. I'm thinking of doing the same with my go pro.
