And here's the hardest song in the game. not really. I've FCd this maybe like 4 times, Once was an accident when I was just playing it to practice the chart again. To get this run recorded, it took maybe like half an hour. I'm fairly consistent with hitting the solo. I might try to get 1st place sometime.
Fun fact, this is the exact same score as I got in my GH2 Bark at the moon video.

This is one of the best covers in the whole game! The guitar playing is perfectly recreated, and the vocalist nails all of Ozzy's notes!
Besides the missing Brummie accent, and the shortened laugh, it is a good cover.

I remember that too. it was so inconsintent. I had to treat every note as a strum..
this was such a great final song for the series and in the first damn game too! I always remember struggling at the final guitar solo to stay alive before the song ends it did a really great job at causing that tension until you got a bit better and better!
i remember i would play this all the time when i was little, and it took me forever to beat that song on expert. now i want to buy a ps2 and this game again
And get a tv that supports this platform or else the game won't play well
jon wang you can calibrate hdtv lag in the settings so it won’t make a difference what tv you use
@@TrickiestTripod GH1 doesn't have video calibration. The only way to have the game function as intended is to get an old CRT, or you have to deal with video latency

@@TrickiestTripod It's cool. I mean I got used to the latency, but my TV is an old HDTV, so it's not as bad as a modern 4KTV.
This song was fun to play, until I failed at the first solo
I have 100% completed this on easy. Even though it was just easy, that's one of my proudest moments playing guitar hero (so far)
You kinda make me wanna pull out the og Guitar Hero so I can double check how I did on expert. Otherwise it was probably one of the only songs that didn't break immediately and I beat.

This is legit one of the hardest songs in all of Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Mostly because GH1 had a garbage hammer on pull off system though. I think when they ported this chart to other games later in the series it was actually not bad at all
On the gh3 engine this would be lightwork, but it’s insanely hard to fc on gh2

I know you point man. In gh2 when there is no anchor/you can't hold lower note to get it when there's fast tap. And you can't hold one button when there's double note. For me Arterial black is hell when do double note in gh2 with dualshock controller.
This is probably one of the most impressive FCs considering the extremely tight hammer-on and pull off timing, that first solo looks bonkers to FC

I love Guitar hero for what it has done to my childhood. So many hours spent, even though I never got really good.. But I enjoyed it. It was fun. I've never been close to hitting this solo back when I played. I just starpowered and hit relentlessly..
I think I could FC this if I had access to GH2 DLC to practice the strumming. Damn, I wanna play this game again. It's been too long.

Oh, I can only imagine the turmoil and frustration people had with this song when this game came out...
The Shadowman actually not really, everyone just treated the solo (as well as get ready 2 rokk, fire it up, and decontrol) as impossible and considered an FC outside of the fast part as "good enough" - it wasn't until Jordan was fced and me, k3v, and strikebowler went back and fced fire it up, decontrol, and get ready 2 rokk that people started considering bark at the moon as feasible...then strike and I got it within a couple days of each other lol
Oh you have no idea. I was 1 year old when this game came out. 1 YEAR OLD, close to 2 but 1. And even though I started on expert at around 5, it still was very difficult to beat this song.
Now though I can 5 star it without even trying.
goldensun2211 keep practicing my dude, see if you can get 100% outside of the really fast part at the end of the solo. From there it's a pretty huge step up to hit that fast part though - it's the hardest section in the game and it's only like 2 or 3 seconds lol

goldensun2211 they're triplets. It's about 14.5 notes per second. You can find videos where you hear people strumming it so you can tell

how do you go about hitting the solo?
Well on GH2 I do it normal bc hopos work, but for GH1, I basically only use my index and middle finger. I start the fast part with hand in third position (index on yellow), and just used 2 fingers. It feels really awkward sliding my index from R to B, but it works for me somehow. And of course, just have to get the strumming speed down.
KingInferno93 for gh1 in general don't think of it as strumming every note think of it as fretting like normal while keeping time with your strumming hand

I never had a guitar controller. This was a very long time ago, like, 2013 when i was like, 9, i had pretty much given up hope that i could fc the thing so i just used star power to skip the solo like a wuss.

Did you know that you can just use select to activate star power? It's easier to do than raising the guitar, but be careful. You're gonna have to reposition your hand for that, so you might not be able to strum any notes.

I fc'ed it on GH2 Xbox 360, it was a DLC song that not a lot of people don't know and it was harder than GH1 especially the stupid broken strum engine because for some reason fast struming on Xbox 360 is harder than PS2 and it took me a lot to FC on Xbox 360.

Unpopular opinion, I think GH1 was the best Guitar Hero.

So do I. The most nostalgic, one of the best setlists,, and a hard (and fun) engine. Hitting something like the trills in FiU (before and after the 1st verse) with the hopo system feels really good.

multinformer349 - yeah, while the engine is very difficult, I enjoy the challenge of it to keep persisting at it. I can do that since almost every song is really fun. I also love the setlist, probably my favorite in the Guitar Hero franchise.
