While I must say skipping all of the dialogue and ignoring the fact that you don't have to press A more than once to pluck all of your Pikmin is a strong contrast to how most would have a blind playthrough, I had fun seeing another person enjoy the game.
@Longboost i don't think my own experience is like "tainted" or anything due to skipping text or not using certain features. I know that wasn't exactly your point, but yea, I come from speedrunning the base games for years, and I don't exactly come to play new romhacks to go into the mode of someone who's never played a pikmin game before. I also was reading a fair amount of the text, it's just that pikmin games and romhacks aren't exactly story based games. When I play like a jrpg, for example, I know a lot of the point is the story and thus don't skip the cutscenes. But for louie's quest in 1^2 specifically, I mostly streamed and uploaded my playthrough because I speedran the normal olimar mode the same day, and wanted more than anything for the developers to have genuine feedback from someone who understands the game's mechanics a lot and knows what would feel like a balanced pikmin romhack. And pikhacker has updated the game since then. I did kinda just upload this because it happened and it was fun to do and people might enjoy watching it, and idk if I'll personally ever play it again because I don't have plans to speedrun it, but yea, it woulda been way less fun for me to play and taken way longer if I actively fought my instincts as a runner of the vanilla games and went full casual mode lmao. So that's just my perspective. Glad you enjoyed watching.
