@@George-Thompson Thank your so much - And now - chatting a bit out of my box - watching this beautiful performance in a moment of doubt and self critisim - hating all I'm suposed to love in my "Art of the straight line" - too much brain, feeling no connection with anything - feeling like everything I've developed in my own form is gone - so I have to make a decision: giving up and starting collecting stamps - or stay straight and go one step back hoping for this two steps further - understanding deeply that there is no real choice cause I'm forfeited into the Art - So my lesson for today is: There is a dark site in the Art - but giving up never could be the real choice - except I would cheating to me and the my "Art of the straight line".

Great to see Wumin again. Her movements are so fluid and powerful, with focus and purpose in every step. It is a joy to watch such an advanced and skilled practitioner. Her conspiratorial smile at the very start, when she first drew her sword was a playful, fierce touch. Great to see another dimension of her personality.
The video capture was artfully done, and the music flowed with Wumin's movements, matching the more dynamic thrusts and blocks perfectly!

I studied with a Sifu from Er Mei many years ago. I wish I had continued my instruction -- perhaps there would have been an opportunity to travel and see the mountain and study as you have.

George, I love your work. Your videos are a feast for the mind and the eye. I do have one critique for this one which I humbly offer with every bit of respect and admiration. That is, I found the constant moving of the camera to be distracting and disorienting. Wumin's performance and personality are a joy to watch. The background is beautiful. Even the music you chose makes me smile. Let those voices sing. The camera does not need to be a character too. Anyway, I'm a Tai Chi guy from the US. Best wishes.

It's subjective of course, personally I think the camera work is very well done, the videography is outstanding, job well done George! This video, Wumin's Chen Taiji, and Shi Heng Yi's Xi Sui Jing demo in the rain are my top thee favorite videos.

That's not a wushu form. That is a Tai Chi form. Chen 49. I do the Chen 13 broadsword form in one of my Tai Chi classes.

Viewed without the music it's pretty good, but not really top-class. There's a stiffness in the arms and torso - not enough 'xin yun liu shui', (passing clouds, flowing water).
Curious. Sifu had a white tassel on his jian. Visiting Sifu would be offered his sword for use but they would decline upon seeing the tassels. They would then choose one of ours to, 'teach' a form to.
What's the story behind tassel color?

You guys are easily impressed. She is unbalanced and unsteady in most stances. Even unsure at some point. Flow is inconsistent. No Focus.
It "looks" good but she's a mid level practitioner at best.
Old masters can look weak and unbalanced. They aren't any less good. Taichi is about what is invisible to the eyes. It's an internal art
A baby's faltering steps are no less beautiful and filmworthy than an Olympic gold medalist. Everyone is on their own path, and at their own stage of the journey, but that is no reason not to celebrate and enjoy their accomplishments along the way..
Funny. I was just sent this video by a man who has 64 years in Martial Arts, including being a Sandan black belt in Shotokan Karate. He also does Iado. He's not going to send me a video of someone if their performance isn't up to par.

Swords do not make that metal-on-metal sound. You are a deceiver. Tai chi needs no sword. Total crap.
No makeup. No skirt. No fancy thight dress. No nylon. No high heels. Only her presence and energy and she is damn sexy, sweet and strong. That's what I think about when they ask me: "what is a woman?".
In the end she looks a little sad.
