    Why didn't you put the slide in 3% acetic acid after hydration of the slide?

      Hi Harrison, I use a solution of Alcian blue that already incorporates the acetic acid; Simply tip it on and start the timer🙂

    I think around @8:30 , you did periodic acid ? You mention it as Schiff's reagent . Its confusing because @9:30 , you again say , you are putting on Schiff's reagent .

      Quite right, well spotted! And I'm even holding the bottle - clearly labelled 1% periodic acid! 🙂 Periodic acid first, then Schiff's..
