There's no Mikubill link
This is literally the only version of Stable Diffusion and controlnet that doesn't break inpainting. I have been trying to fix this for weeks. I was having errors even on new installs of it saying "Value error '' does not exist" no matter what I did. I finished downloading controlnet once again and I am happy with this. Thank you. Genuinely, thank you.

How come controlnet doesn't show up in Settings on the left hand side?
I cant get it to work. Controlnet appears in my extensions list. It says its up to date. I restart the automatic1111 UI but it will not appear at the top or in the settings, only in extensions. I should note that I have uninstall and reinstalled it 2x from url as you instructed. Once with hugging face URL and then with github URL. Either way I have same problem. It appears in extensions tab but no where else.
edit: I should also not that in explorer in the extensions folder the file is called /ControlNet and NOT /sd-webui-controlnet like you have in the video.

I had the same problem. The issue for me was that I didn't have the latest version of Automatic1111. I had to do a fresh reinstall because it wasn't updating automatically for some reason. Look for Olivio Sarikas' Automatic1111 install guide and follow it.

Came here just to see what I did wrong. Turns out I had done everything right, but the extension doesn't load and no errors. At least now I have a direction to head to try and figure out what broke and where so appreciate it.

I followed your steps, I see control net installed but after reopened the webui there is no control net settings and no window in the main stable diffusion viewport, however I see it installed properly in the "extras" menu, what am i missing?
it is hard to tell without seeing your installation, try using different browser (it may ui render issues)

Thanks for the video, but in the description the link is to the wrong controlnet, at least I just don’t have the controlnet tab in the settings, I downloaded mikubill like you did, everything appeared.

I have the latest version of Controlnet installed with Vlad. But I only have the "Preprocessors" list/drop-down menu.
Models show 'None'. How do I download the models and in which folder should they be put for Controlnet to detect it and use?

my bad, i pasted the 8 .pth files in the wrong folder (extensions\sd-webui-controlnet instead of extensions\sd-webui-controlnet\models)

@@Geekatplay I'm also not able to get it to work. Everything is there but a lot of the control net functions either don't respond or don't send the pose over. There's also no "send to control net" button. Only "send to text to text" or "send to image to image". Very weird. Any ideas? Thanks.

application looking for specific files at specific location, this is why necessary put files at specified location, otherwise, application can not find them and can not use them
Hello! Once you install ControlNet, Stable Difussion will always use it? If you disable it will it return to the standard model or it will basicall use all the installed extensions? I am having a bit of trouble understanding the differnece between a model, an extension, and a checkpoint. :)

The version on the video is made by Mikubill but the link you provided is made by lllyasviel. Whats the difference and which should I install?
@@user-sz9lu8fk2d I see him use the Mikubil version in other videos and see other tutorial videos also using the Mikubil version. I think the Mikubil one is the one to go with.

Oh boy. Cant drop or load an an image in img2img, it just hangs.
followed your instructions, i have all the files where they have to be but controlnet does not appear neither in the bottom of text to image nor in the settings. I have been now a couple of days trying to figure this out. I dont know where it went wrong. Also the PTH files in the link i found were 1.5 gigs intead of 5gigs
i am going to rerecord video about ControlNet, due to changes in libraries, UI and file locations.
I just subscribed and got it working on the first try, but I had an issue with the links because they were quite different. I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly, but either way, it works and I love it. I'm leaving a subscription. Also, I noticed that there were a lot more files in the models than the ones you had. Do I need to do anything with them?

Im trying to solve it for over a week now! and nothing works, this is crazy!!! i found the cause of error is corrupted system files or drivers and now updating everything, if this doesnt help - the solution is reinstall OS
have you tried run in admin mode?
You have the wrong version of controlnet listed in the description.
it is possible was updated after release of the video, it is why important to use "update" and/or git --pull . ControlNet updating very regularly and multiple versions there.
@@Geekatplay sry its actually the control model link that is wrong. you linked the 1.0 controlnet model and need the 1.1 controlnet model. I followed the controlnet model link you provided and it didn't work until I downloaded the 1.1 model. cheers and ty for doing tutorial content.
