this might seem strange but can i use this same terminology with Axemanship? i was watching a video from sellswordarts describing "Snap Cuts" and "Pulling Cuts" the snap cuts being light fast strikes and pulling cuts being powerful cuts usually setup after a parry can i apply to same logic to dane axe techniques? cuz hear that idea of a "snap cut" and visualizing it in my head with a dane axe just MADE sense i might be crazy lol

There used to be a lot of snobbery in HEMA regarding terminology and which is and isn't classed as "proper HEMA" but that's very much not the case anymore.
When we first put the group together and went public, I was expecting way more pushback since our main focus is on early medieval weaponry which we have no existing fight manuals for, but very few people seem have a problem with it.
Use whatever terminology you like, so long as you and the people your are training with understand the meaning then that's all that matters ;)
