Looks nice! Per POS' website the project cost is $399 million, and "in use date Q3 2026." Based on the Port's absolutely amazing track record at projecting budgets and construction times, I'm going to wager that the actual in use date will be somewhere around early 2028, and the final cost will end up being around $750-850 million. Can't wait to see it in person!
With the amount of newer gates that may still be needed to accommodate growth far into the future, I feel like the S concourse is going to have to be renovated to put in as many gates as possible.
You are correct, if fact the S Concourse Evolution is already underway. We are currently in the planning and design phase. The S Concourse is the main hub for international passengers. To meet the growing demand for international travel, it’s time to renew the S Concourse as a better doorway for the Pacific Northwest and continue to advance the region as a leading tourism and business gateway. You can learn more at our project website. www.portseattle.org/projects/s-concourse-evolution
If only the Alaska airlines hangar can be moved or relocated (on site of course)I think the new S Concourse should be remodeling stretched back to where that is then that way maybe more planes could be accommodated. I can understand the space constraints that the airport has but I'm just trying to think creatively on how we can greatly expand and work within the existing space
You bet!! S Concourse will be amazing, it is currently in early design right now, but you can keep up with that project here on our RUclips Channel as well as following the project page. www.portseattle.org/projects/s-concourse-evolution
Could you fix the looonnnggg security screening lines first? 2+ extra hours is a long time to wait in line. It would be hard to enjoy the expansion if I'm running through it catch my flight
all existing elevators, escalators and moving walkways need to be kept in good repair for the mobility impaired. People want their independence and often don't want to use the wheelchair service or wait for a wheelchair. They just want to use their waker and get going. The current state of Seatac airport is far too ablest. Remember we are all one mishap like a drunk driver or sudden declining health from being in their position. Please work on this issue
Keep the old yellow n red direction signs, having them be white just meshes with the rest of the area, can never have too many people asking for directions 🤔
Does look great. I like the plentiful use of wood.

Looking forward to the addition!

With all this investment this airport better become world class
It’s already too n the top 30 but we need to aim higher
Looks good!
Will S gates look this good? The present day situation is a pretty sad way to send international travelers and visitors on their journey.

Hope they put a Capital One lounge there?
