    Geography and its technalities were my shortcomings but this man totally made geography a perfect easy visualization rather than a complex subject.

    According to wegener. All continents formed one Continental mass and it is know as Pangaea or pangea
    Then bodies of water sorrounded the continental mass. And this mega ocean is called panthalassa
    Pangea started to split 200 million years ago according to Alfred. It broke into 2 large continent which was named as Laurasia at the north and Gondwanaland at the south. And after that both super continents continued to be separated until the present day

    sir, can u tell me whats the relationship between salinity and the depth of ocean, like how it changes from top to bottom and also does this trend of salinity from top to bottom change from equator to poles??

    • @rajeshraii
      @rajeshraii 2 года назад +3

      Salinity increases With depth ,fresh water remains at the Surface because it is less dense than unfresh(salty)water,but when we go in deep ,the density of water increases because it is more salty,now the question accures why the surface water is fresh and the deep is salty, because due to rain and melting glaciers , fresh water pours into ocean surface , that's why it is less salty,and I have mentioned fresh water is less dense so it reminds on surface,
      In the case of equator,we all know that it gains more rain because of hot weather, that's why on equator ,we find that oceanic surface water has less salinity,
      And when we are talking about poles,we all know about freezing temperature,so we find water here,in the form of snow,it is more fresh, that's why on the poles ,the ocean surface water is less salty,
      I hope it helped you,✨
      Sorry if there is any grammar issue.

    why does this happen?how all the continents split themselves?

    • @sakthiprasanna8010
      @sakthiprasanna8010 8 лет назад +3

      To know this you have to know about the interior composition of earth. Earth has crust(brittle top), mantle(middle) & core(which is full of magma). When the magma moves inside the core due to the temperature difference the interior portions of earth is subjected to shake & the specific area deforms or even breaks. This give rise to faults & cracks on the top layer of the earth with massive release of energy(Earth quake).. Continuous acts like this brakes the surface of earth & gets splits up.. Also earth consist of 71% of ocean & 29% of land.. The density of water is higher than the density of land.. Due to gravitation & less dense the ocean too contributed as an exogenic factor in splitting & movement of land mass...
      I hope you got an idea about this now..

      I’d like to add that the plates under the earth’s surfaces causes shifts. It sits on top of the (mantle) the molten lava surface.

    They couldn't of maintained the same shape so what you see today shouldnt line up perfect especially when you think the Earth just swelled, or theres a perfect in tact mudslide perfectly sliding huge masses of dirt around for billions of years and we can just computer simulate north America sliding and fitting perfectly right where it was...thats saying the coast maintained, how? Erosion proves that the air alone changes the face of the Earth every few years, at that rate theres no way the continents will line up the exact same as it did billions an billions of years ago..... Somebody's lying! Even old maps look different from a thousand years ago, you mean billion and they still plug right in...the Earth is nothing like you think it is, uou just got told a huge lie

  • @GoofieNewfie69

    Pangea don't make sense. Dirt and rock is heavier than water, if not it wouldn't sink in water right. A spinning ball that has one side heavier than the other wobbles. At the equator the earth is moving a around 1600 km/h (in order to turn completely in 24 hours) . Sounds like a imbalanced theory to me.

    • @njsmith1961
      @njsmith1961 7 лет назад

      Well think of the oceans as giant puddles of water on the crust. The Earth is primarily rock and metal. The water just forms in pools or low points on that giant ball of rock we call Earth.
