All of them. Remember we're learning 'chord tones' not 'chords'. You need to learn the basic chord construction principles and then you'll know what every chord is on the fly.
Man the bass sound in this video is incredible. Even the ghost notes, like a perfect "pop". I don't know if it's the bass, or the amp, or the equalization, or what. It's just absolutely perfect. Can anyone help me out, with some technical info?
Great great lesson ! Your "building bass lines" series is awesome ! Does this riff implies that the music stays on the C7 chord the whole time (no chord progression) ? Does it happen often in funk music ?
Great bass line to growth with, Mark. Thx! Also, really like the tone you're using for this riff...can't seem to get it on my old Jazz Bass. Is it those custom p/u's along with your bass head? I've learned quite a lot from your lessons. Be well.
I found this track here: ruclips.net/video/0mEPOdsayTw/видео.html and it looks like it is done exactly for this goove! :-) A little too slow perhaps but really well fit...
Nice! You re my favorite source of bass learning online. Much love!
Check out this funky 16th note riff! Combining chord tones with chromatic approach notes can be really effective.
TalkingBass - Online Bass Lessons how many chords you should play?

Great teacher, big bass master. Thanks again for this opportunity to learn about this exciting music stile.
This groove has Jaco Pastorius written all over it. Very nice! It's kind of open to variations, especially the last part.
Thanks Mark another priceless lesson! 🙂🎸
