Love this light. After running a fresh water tank for a year and just switched to salt I needed a new light. Love how you set this up once and it goes on and off by itself and you can put the color spectrum just like you want.
I actually have this on my 38gal FOWLR. Hoping that this light would work for softies and anemones. Gotta say, the light really makes my rock pop and the color of my fish as well. I have it set to blue at night for the night cycle and the clowns I have seem to love it.
I love this light grows my corals and gives amazing color; however, I would like to get in contact with fluval so we can make the light turn off at night all it requires is that we change the app. Also I want to be able have it change color through the day. Once again great work just little adjustments
Where is this app update for better light control?? The light rocks but I am severely limited to controlling each light spectrum on its own time and full dark at night!
Is "Purple" channel actually violet? I can't find any explanation of what channel has what wavelengths even in the documentation that came with the light.
Artem, purple can be defined as violet. We are working on updating the fluvalaquatics website, appreciate the patience, additional lighting specifications should be made available on the updated site in the near future.
Hi there! Marine 3.0 LEDs are suitable for growing all species of corals. However, if you'd hoping to keep SPS, we recommend positioning them near the top of the tank and potentially adding a second LED unit!
This looks amazing! If it's full spectrum and not just RGB (as their freshwater version), it should be good for growing SPS. Except... I may need 2 or 3 of them to get enough coverage and brightness... I wish they had a wider version. Not longer, but wider, with even mode LEDs uniformly distributed. It would cost probably 2 times more, but it would be totally competitive with Kessil or AI ! Considering that many people add old style t5 to Kessil lights for better coverage, these lights could be a good replacement for both. Fluval should step into this premium market!
Hi there, it is difficult to offer lighting settings advise as there are many variables to consider when setting up your lights. Please watch our video that addresses this question: ruclips.net/video/awbatvAXcZI/видео.html

Can the 22w be fitted onto the 52l Evo without the lid? Having a hard time finding it here in the UK, but love the Fluval app on the sea led, hence the change!
@@fluval so then I’m sold!!! I will buy it. Just need to figure out where. Thank you very much for fine products. Just bought your 407 canister filter. First fish tank, no fishes yet. I used your cycle product and it’s been running for 3 weeks now. Adding fish soon.
Hi I just bought the 36 to 48 inches my tank is 120cm, it seems that the sides of the tank aren't as well lit, should I habe bought the bigger one? As I'm guessing the light would be sitting over the edges if the tank if I bought the bigger one..
I cannot figure out how to set this light up. I opened the package and it has a cord attached to it with the end having a female port and then there was another cord that plugs into the wall with two male ports that are fused together. They don’t fit with eachother and idk what’s going on

i have a 30 gal 30” wide 18” deep just bought a 3.0 32 watt marine sea , with the factory par ratings beginning to wonder whether this light by itself will support corals thinking probably lps and some zoas, what do you think, possibly another light same size added to the tank, thanks
Placing the corals on the rock structure to obtain the PAR value range they require is a good place to start. LPS and zoas should be ok with 1 unit right about the water surface, however, adding a second is not an issue given the control-ability the app affords you.
I just got one, but I think is not the right one for my tank which it was a wooden hood. I tied it to the hood and after a few hours, it got kindda hot...I had to disconnect to see what would be my options with it....or maybe I will just return it back..... I got 100% percent in all the light colors....would that be what it got it hot? I mean... white light was100, as well as the blue and all the other ones.... if I low the white would that help?
I am considering either 2 of these or the nanos. I prefer the look of 2 of the nanos plus a lot cheaper! I know these have more wattage though. I have a nuvo 20 that I believ is 24 inches wide. Do you think I can grow some low light sps with the nano. The main reason I am considering these two is I only have 4 1/2 inches above my tank because its in the kitchen with cabinets above it. Is the anno less than 4 1/2 inches tall? Would the anano produce hot spots as well like most lights on mounts do and have to be set pretty high above tank.
The Plant Nano is less than 4 inches in height and would not create hotspots as it utilizes 120 degree dispersion leds. Growing low to mid light level plants should not be an issue, if the light unit is within 3 to 4 inches of the water surface. Make sure to allow a minimum of .5 of an inch between the top of the light unit and cabinet bottom it is mounting to in order to allow for proper heat dissipation.
It is recommended when adding a second light to use a second light that is specific to the Flex saltwater kit, given the kit has just launched it is not yet showing on the website but is expected to be by fourth quarter this year.
At 12 inches the 48 inch unit has a PAR value of 102 and at 18 inches the 48 inch unit has a PAR value of 63. It should be ok for most soft corals, placing them at 12 inches of depth or a little higher for the higher light requiring softies will be ok.
Hello, once your light is configured, your configuration will become a selectable preset. Should your power go out, you will need to re-connect to the light and click on your preset to reactivate it.
A version of the Marine 3.0 designed specifically for the Flex32 will be available shortly! We do not recommend using the other sizes of Marine 3.0 units, as they don't fit well into the canopy.
My fluval 3.0 is only 8 months old and has condensation buildup in the unit. First one replaced under warranty and the replacement one has same issues. Not very good especially how expensive they are

Hello everyone, I am looking for recommendations on correct colors for my soft corals, should I just use blue and violet? and what percentage of light.
Man I want to give this light a try. I love strip lighting over the spotlight leds, no distracting shimmer and even coverage. How many watts is the 24”+ version? Does the 24” version still have 100 par at 12” like the longer ones?

Yes they will depending on the market and their given inventory levels of current vs. new gen 3.0's. It will also be possible moving forward to update your existing LED with the new 3.0 generation.
Fluval Aquatics should I purchase an M60 in the near future is there a way to determine if they unit will have gen 3 lighting versus old, obviously would want the newest lighting.
Josh, you would have to check with the retailer first. If your country has the new generation 3.0 in stock there should be no issue in ensuring your M series kit is equipped with one.
Great price point and app looks good too. Only issue I have is the largest size seems to target 5ft aquarium. But it’s max size is 145cms. Why oh why? So it won’t fit my 152cm ? Seems really weird to have it that size.
Actually the target is the much more popular 48 inch or 120 cm tank with the extension brackets allowing safe installation up to a 60 inch or 152cm aquarium. In the case of a 6 ft long or 183cm long tank the corners would not be well lit at all and thus the use of two 36 inch or 91 cm long units would be called for.
Fluval Aquatics ok so my tank is 152cms so can I get expansion brackets for that size or does the like come with them? I don’t need light into the corners/ends.

Joe, not necessarily. It is directly dependent on what power levels you are comparing with T5's benefiting from an efficient reflector as they radiant light at a 360 degree pattern. LED's with a tighter beam distribution will generate higher PAR values when placing the quantum sensor directly below them. All things considered, it is clear there are a number of factors to consider when comparing PAR and other light specifications....

The kind of people who like this kind of stuff also like other home automation things. You should work on making these work with things like smart things or Alexa. If they did I would buy them in a second, but since they don't I'm still waiting. Why because I don't need or want 10 different apps to control all my home automation needs and I want them to all work together to react to what I'm doing, my mood and the time of day.

The programming is not as good as USA current orbit ... Stronger light better built ... Now that the programming is on an app why has there not been an up date? Storm ,clouds ?ECT
"Storm ,clouds..." - why do people even need that?))) If you're serious reefer, you don't need all these special effects for kids, but a decent spectrum, brightness and coverage.
How corals or fish would benefit from the storm imitation? What about earthquakes and volcano eruptions? They are natural too, should we imitate them?)
yes intense bright flashes of light boost color throughout.. Effects can produce benifets and also is a perk when showing your tank off.. I'm sorry you cannot understand that and are Arrgumental on ones reciew as manufacturers are always looking for reviews too stay ahead of the competition...
I just bought an Evo Sea & I'm surprised you dont sell it with a bt setup like your showing here instead of the out of date manual on/off 2 touch option? Why do you do that? The light that comes with it is perfectly adequate but the first thing I see some people have done is try and swap it out for some other abortion & if this came with full control there would be no need what so ever, now I have to buy a timer just to switch it on/off & my main tank LEDs have been doing this for years with all the other options your showing here, whats worse this video is near on 2 years old, so its not although you cant do it?? How much would it cost? This design is pretty much what attracted me to it for a small tank, spoilt by the light !! Added comment..I just read 1 year ago you actually say, quote: "....the light coverage with the nano would be lacking, the supplied Evo light would do a much better job." I rest my case 🤦♂️
There is a suspension kit available, here is link to the youtube video that informs of details including the item # etc : ruclips.net/video/PlVZeD2__jo/видео.html If you maintain higher light requiring corals then adding a second light and staggering the suspension fitment works well.

LPS does very well as do various anemones we have kept long term. For SPS it is recommended to place frags within 3 to 4 inches of the waters surface and supply correct alkalinity and calcium levels as well as proper current, if they are frags raised under T5HO lighting most species will do nicely at that depth under Fluval LED lighting.

I got a deal in my area for 50$ brand new 25000k. Just wondering if it could work for fresh water plant
Hi! Most freshwater plants prefer light around 6500K. Using a marine light for a freshwater tank is likely to result in algae issues.

Make sure to allow a minimum of .5 of an inch between the top of the light unit and cabinet bottom it is mounting to in order to allow for proper heat dissipation.
How does the par output on the nano compare to the previous generation of the same light?
We do not have data on the Nano yet but will soon. We are expecting similar numbers. Please visit fluvalaquatics.com regularly for updates.
Can it be used underneath a aquarium hood?
Absolutely! 💯
Would using two improve the par for a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft aquarium.
Is this the light that can be added in addition to the Fluval Saltwater Flex?
It is recommended when adding a second light to use a second light that is specific to the Flex saltwater kit, given the kit has just launched it is not yet showing on the website but is expected to be by fourth quarter this year.
What's the par rating on the 48 inch one? Will 1 suffice for soft corals in 4ft 55gallon?
At 12 inches the 48 inch unit has a PAR value of 102 and at 18 inches the 48 inch unit has a PAR value of 63. It should be ok for most soft corals, placing them at 12 inches of depth or a little higher for the higher light requiring softies will be ok.

LED's with a tighter beam distribution will generate higher PAR values when placing the quantum sensor directly below them. All things considered, it is clear there are a number of factors to consider when comparing PAR and other light specifications....
Cool. Want to try those to my tank. Switch them with the t5's i added to my leds. Looks great. Available in Holland or Belgium?
You will love them. Will be available in Europe, please visit fluvalaquatics.com (German site) regularly for updates.
Great led. When is planned to sell the LED in Germany?
Felix, please visit fluvalaquatics.com to address your question to our Fluval support team, available to you through our support page, when you visit the website please make sure you are on the German site, there is a country tab at the top of the page.
That's dope! 👍
Travis, thank you for the input.
Mine keeps flickering and changing settings it self....

Fluval Aquatics USA 🇺🇸 I live in Florida. The customer service is also a failure.
They are trying to help..Chillllll
Love these
I said 59 watt and you didn’t tell us spec such as par
Hi there! All of the technical information about Marine 3.0 LEDs - including PAR - is available here: fluvalaquatics.com/us/shop/product/marine-3-0
Great 👍👍👍
The programming is not as good as USA current orbit ... Stronger light better built ... Now that the programming is on an app why has there not been an up date? Storm ,clouds ?ECT
The update is coming soon, stay tuned!
"Storm ,clouds..." - why do people even need that?))) If you're serious reefer, you don't need all these special effects for kids, but a decent spectrum, brightness and coverage.
Its a great feature that replecats natural weather patterns ...
Neat! 🤓👍
Chris, take note that the Evo was released much before the 3.0 marine series was.
Love this light in my reef tank @fluvalaquatics
👍🇨🇦👍
And they don’t fit a 5ft tank 😡
There is a suspension kit available, here is link to the youtube video that informs of details including the item # etc : ruclips.net/video/PlVZeD2__jo/видео.html
If you maintain higher light requiring corals then adding a second light and staggering the suspension fitment works well.
Fluval Aquatics I got one 3 weeks ago and it’s already stopped working.... there is no power what’s so ever.. tried everything but the power is dead... that’s and for a item that cost nearly £300

Fluval Aquatics you guys have a serious problem with the power bricks overheating and breaking... had to get the seller to send new one and it fixed the problem, until it happens again..
this lighting suck... y'all better off getting a 100$ black box off Ebay or mars aqua ... all this fluval stuff aint going to grow you Corals.... these light are just enough to keep them in life support
IReef, we would have to disagree and can offer as proof within a number of our videos our 6 ft. reef tanks where corals are thriving and growing, of course with the right number of units for tanks of that size. Please contact the Fluval support team by using the support page on fluvalaquatics.com
oooooo no ... maybe some softies, one head after a year or so... no sps
I agree with iReef these lights suc. my block box from Ebay is way better n cheaper.. fluval lighting have a good look n they look neat but overall sucks...I give fluval 2/10
Leider nicht auf deutsch
Cool I love your content is very helpful
What’s is the best settings I have two of this in my fluval flex whit sps and lps corals
