May I have permission to use this footage for a physics lab video please?

Yes; I can give you a single-use license to reuse portions of the footage from this video for the project you've identified at no charge. Let me know if you have any questions.

@@batteryplum That would be excellent, thank you. I’m putting together a video project for Physics where I’m modeling a hypothetical zip line from the top of the pencil building to the window of my dorm room on West. I would love to use your footage and superimpose myself on said zip line in the video for added effect. Could you email the single-use license to nmgreve@bellsouth.net please?

@@NateGreve Nathaniel: There's no necessary documentation. The license is yours. Your project sounds great!

What kind of drone are you flying I have a solo 3dr I'm scared to loose connection in the city !

The 3DR Solo is a very capable UAV/UAS with solid build-quality, and I regret that 3D Robotics likely won't be releasing future models. Most of the footage included in this video was captured over an extended period in 2015 and 2016 with modified Phantom 3 (Advanced with after-market gimbal and GoPro H3+ Black) and Phantom 4 models. While I no longer shoot as much in the heart of the city, when I did, I made a conscious effort to find locations where line-of-sight could be maintained with the UAV (standing on top of my truck if necessary) and wireless interference is very low. I also routinely used after-market, super-bright LED lights (which added weight but improved my ability to visually track the UAV at a distance) and carefully monitored the UAV's signal strength (taking care not to outrun the control-signal). While most current UAV models (including the Solo, I believe) have fairly sophisticated "return-to-home" functionality, I prefer not to rely on this feature. Best of luck with your Solo.

where did u take off from?

      Adrian:
This video includes a conglomeration of footage shot over an extended period of time (the seasonal variations are obvious in the vegetation and lighting) from at least a dozen locations. But, the two locations that provided the most line-of-sight were the top of the State Street parking deck (1/2 block off 10th street) and one of the visitor parking decks off of Ferst). In my experience, the best time to fly/film was around sunrise on a holiday or weekend when the campus was not occupied (which reduces the amount of signal interference significantly). All the Best, -Ben Fox

Greetings Ben, I wanted to reach out to you to see if you would consider allowing me to use some of this footage in a promotional video for digital signage on GA tech's campus. If you could email me I can give you more details, at Theimariadams at G mail dot com. Thanks!
